  • First thing, I'm buying the finest fineliner I can, go for 4-6 columns on the page.

Then I'm writing in billionaires, one a week, after making them cosign a suicide note that the deaths will stop once wealth distribution flattens the fuck out, there's a full UBI everywhere and fossil fuels are history.

  • It's not women's job to be attractive.

They aren't there for your viewing pleasure.

They're not for you; they're not a public amenity.

You have no more right to expect them to smile in order to make your surroundings more aesthetic than you have a right to expect them to get their tits out for you to gawp at.

  • This is a bad argument. Your conclusion happens to be factual, but it doesn't follow from the premises.

Being in an enclosed space with an internal combustion engine will kill you because of the CO buildup, and no, that doesn't happen in the open air. CO does oxidise to CO2 eventually, so it doesn't just keep building up in the atmosphere.

The main harm caused by burning fossil fuels is the CO2, which is wreaking havoc on the climate and will kill billions - but not by poisoning them.

  • This is an important point.

All texts (writing, film, other media) are constructed against their contemporary cultural context, and rely on that context to give them meaning.

Ever watch stand-up comedy from a decade ago? Even if you laughed yourself sick at it at the time... it ages extremely badly, since it's so intimately tied into the whole vibe of the time.

The more generic the work, the longer its use-by date - but of course, the less likely it is to be memorable.

After a time, all things die. And that's okay.
