As something of a connoisseur of abusive relationships, this pattern is familiar to me.

Yes, I spent all the money on booze and drugs. Yes, again. Yes, I should have done better. But right now, the rent is due today and the kids have no food. If you don't help out with another $900, they'll be out on the street and the kids will go into foster care. And you don't want that, do you? It's not the kids' fault, why are you punishing them? While you keep rewarding bad behaviour, they'll keep exploiting you. And they know it. And you know it - you're making their argument for them. All they need to do is sit back and reel it in.

Trump is the best thing that happened to the dems in decades; he's lowered the bar right to the fucking ground, so they think they only have to be one inch higher, and they can use fear of the alternative to avoid being taken to task on it.

Have some actual progressive policies, and court progressive voters by actually representing their interests.

And no, you don't get to blame the fucking voters for getting it wrong. If you believe so hard in democrary, then you hold that the voters always get it right by definition, and anyone failing to attract their vote is simply bad at their job.

All your basic staples: salt, flour, oil, sugar, pasta, pasta, milk, eggs etc. There's literally nothing to do better or worse, so for god's sake don't pay for the label. Fancy olive oil is nicer, and fancy butter for actually putting on bread is nice too - but for cooking, cheap the hell out.

Get your spices from an Indian / Asian / etc grocer - you can get a huge bag for the price of a tiny supermarket jar, and because they have so much turnover, they'll be plenty fresh.

Store-brand laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets work just fine for me (and dear god you can save a lot on those).

They didn't really call for it to stop military action though. They called for it to stop doing things intended to be genocide; I predict that Israel will just disagree that it intends genocide, and keep on doing it.

Pretty much every service on the internet does password-reset via a token sent to your mailbox, so if someone gets control of your mail, you're pretty much pwned anyway. It would be slower and more inconvenient for an attacker to reset everything individually, but I'm sure they can automate that.

This is just security theatre. Burning all my data makes my life a lot harder, but an attacker would barely notice.

If I can reset each individual credential via mail token, on the assumption that only the genuine owner has access to the mailbox, then I lose nothing by resetting access to the whole set of credentials via mail token, on that same assumption.

This is the exact fucking opposite of the behaviour I'd ever want from a password manager.

Actually it's an effective cloud-based password manager that doesn't rely on local storage or weird plugins or backups.

That's what keeps me using chrome. I could lose everything in a house fire, pick up any device, log in and have access to all my stuff without any further action on my part, right out of the box.

That's the only feature I care about, and chrome is the only browser I've seen that provides it.

Get me that in firefox, and I'll switch today.

If you believe that democracy is a valid method for choosing your leaders, then you don't get to blame voters for 'getting it wrong'; by definition they are always right.

If your guy doesn't win, it means he fucked up. There's nobody else to blame.

If it's the end of the fucking world if your opponent gets in, then maybe just fucking maybe now is not the time to play chicken by trying to get away with being 99.99999% as much of a piece of shit as your opponent, and hoping to get by on the skinniest margin you can. If it's that big a deal, maybe try to make that margin as wide as fucking possible.
