You're 100% right, but it's not like impeachment seems to do anything about the Trump problem. What's a third impeachment gonna do?

Insane that our taxes go to this. Our tax dollars belong in the pockets of hard working billionaires, oil companies and weapons manufacturers.

I'm not arguing that Obama is worse than Trump or vice versa. I don't think anything will meaningfully change unless we can acknowledge that the US is inhumanely monstrous to immigrants regardless of which party is in charge. Obviously Trump's escalated use of ICE like Gestapo is abhorrent, but it isn't a new role for the agency.

I'm just looking at numbers from this article , which is citing TRAC data, putting Obama at 3.1M people deported and Trump at 932T for his first term and "about 200k during his first four months". It also notes that this is lagging behind the deportation numbers of Biden during a similar time frame.

It's true that we may not know the full extent of either administration's horrors for many years.

Trump is still over a million people under Barrack's deportation record. It's a vile machine that hasn't stopped or faltered regardless of which party rules.

I actually wonder why this church was prepared for that. Synagogues will often have armed security but that's because they're a target for Nazi extremists.

I think it's nigh impossible to come up with strict rules about these things.

I also think it's fine that women have spaces that are just for them.

Gotta remember that AI isn't occasionally hallucinating and often recalling information, it's never recalling information, it's always hallucinating, just that we say we like some of the hallucinations, so it does those more often.

I hosted a German exchange student in 2006. She, along with the other Germans, were aghast when they saw us all stand for the pledge to the flag in homeroom every morning. They explained that they were (rightly) taught that this kind of behavior is the precursor to horrible, horrible things.

Partly in jest, but while some could argue the slurs have been somewhat reclaimed, some people are understandably bothered by them being used casually and might have traumas about them being used against them. Soo I avoid using it without knowing how my current company feels about it.
