Yeah I'm American and we had mostly Scholastic book fairs and the school library to count on for books. Animorphs, being published under them, was heavily advertised at the fairs.
Considering myself to be an "advanced" reader I'd stick to the young adult books, but mostly sci-fi (Dune) and fantasy (Dhampir). For 5th or 6th grade me, though, Animorphs was engaging enough until a new book came out and was constantly checked out at the library.
I was familiar with him in the 90s because of Con Air and Face/Off but my film appreciation class really made me fall for him with Raising Arizona. Like Johnny Depp in Ed Wood, it's "off-brand" for Cage, but he does a brilliant job.
Yeah Animorphs as a kid had a darkness that Goosebumps couldn't touch. The first one for me was realizing that one of the party members was forever stuck as a fucking bird, and they had whole chapters of his perspective getting used to the fact that his former life is gone. That was unheard of at the time.
I feel like Outer Worlds was their take on Fallout, and this is their take on The Elder Scrolls. From the video they put out the other day, I'm down to clown.
Have you sent this information anonymously to any journalistic entities? If you don't this is just going to fade away until two years from now, like you said. On top of that if they have others reporting the same thing they're more likely to go public.
All these posts about Linux have me curious, especially because I just updated my hardware and have enough parts leftover to make a new PC. My main PC still has to run Windows because I use Ableton for music, but you guys are making me want to make the 2nd PC Linux just for shits and giggles. Especially if it plays well with Nvidia, my old card is a 2070.
