Yeah, but if you're offering an actually competitive salary, more often than not you'd just state the salary because you know people would go for it...

Yeah. I'll eat them if they're there, but I wouldn't buy them. You can get better stuff for the same price.

I can only imagine what kind of profit this company is making by selling a phone literally purpose built to be as lightweight as possible both physically and on features for $299.

I'd be willing to bet they could sell that for half the price and still make a reasonably-sized profit - so I might just take out my popcorn and see if somebody does.

And I'm arguing this is what's happening right now, even if it's been happening before.

Wages have risen, but that's not even close to being for everyone, whereas almost everyone has felt the increase in grocery costs (even if some stuff fell this year)

There's a reason food bank use is still continuing to increase, because more and more people are struggling to even afford groceries.

Food is absolutely getting more expensive, but they equally bought a rod for their own back buying all the premium brand stuff.

Spoiling yourself is all well and good, but they shouldn't complain something expensive was expensive haha

I don't think it's so much that people have gotten dumber, there's always been dumb folk, but the age of social media has made them less fearful of looking stupid.

It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.

My point being those who haven't seen an inflation matching salary increases, which applies to a lot of people, are going to be hit hard by the large average increases in grocery prices regardless of if some happen to go down.

On average, and that isn't true for everybody everywhere (even within the US)

Almost immediately after buying it, Elon enshittified the site - and not only that, but changed it's branding from one of the most recognisable names/logos in the world to a fucking "X" (almost always suffixed with "formerly Twitter" so people actually remember what the fuck it is)
