I don't. There will always be scarcity unless there's some way to completely automate the entire process of farming and delivery, plus maintenance on all the equipment, plus all energy needs.
I don't really see that happening. At least not for 100 years or more.
FUD. PYUSD is an ERC20 token, using the Ethereum network, which means it's far more efficient than credit card processing programs at the moment.
Now, don't get me wrong. PYUSD is stupid and I'll never use it. And the whole point of crypto is so that companies can't control your money.
But being inefficient and burning fissile fuels is not one of those negatives about it.
**note - there are a few cryptos, especially first generation that are highly inefficient and do burn lots of fissile fuels, like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc.
But Ethereum adopted proof of stake somewhat recently, so is now far more efficient.
I see. So the end of the free and open internet. And all hail the pay to view internet. Want information? News? Weather? To interact with anyone else? Gotta pay up for every interaction.
Tim Berners Lee would be rolling in his grave (if he were dead)
Nah. I'm not on Facebook anymore. But this law could easily affect places like reddit and lemmy and mastodon, twitter, and the rest of the internet. It sets a bad precedent.
Similarly, I see lots and lots of orthodox Jews when hiking in New Hampshire.
I don't know. Just one of those things groups of people like to do. They probably also like seeing others from their community while on vacation so they encourage others in their community to go as well. And then it just takes off as a common recommended vacation spot amongst themselves or something.
Also I'm sure it helps that people from those communities report that they had a good time, they were safe, and weren't harassed or anything.
(I have no idea if that's accurate, but that's my guess)
Thank you! I've been wondering when mod tools were going to come to an app.
