Never meet your idols.
I seriously stopped being a fan of any public figure because people seeking public attention are mostly off-putting at least. Then come the narcissists and psychopaths, it gets only worse.

I've probably seen weirder, but this one was pretty funny:
I rode my bike along a huge river in a big city in Germany. It was already dark and my light was broken. In front of me I saw something blinking brightly coming at me. As it came closer I realized it was a guy on a bike that had lots of lights and reflectors attached to both the bike and the guy. He wore a light on his helmet, on his arms and his thigh. As he passed by me he looked at me super grumpy and said:
"How about some light?!"

Yeah, no...
You're no fighter for truth and justice here. You parrot Wikipedia, you cherrypick by citing only the two paragraphs from people who (don't even fully) disagree with him, you have obviously not read a single one of his books nor looked into the guys history. You don't reply to anything I said, you just repeat your false claim.
I told a guy who eats 3 eggs a day to not do it, linking a text which is completely backed by science. So please get out of the way, troll, you're slowing progress down.

This is an age old topic and there is no right answer to it. You need to decide where you draw the line. Unpersecuted vigilantism will lead to chaos, on the other hand, we live in an unjust and structural violent system where rich people kill by signing papers and poor, desperate people die. They sometimes even vote for the elite before dying.
I glued myself to the street to protest our government not acting on our planet heating up. I knew I broke the law but I felt like I needed to. It was a rough experience, still I don't regret it because I did what felt necessary to me. The guy shooting the CEO probably feels the same, and pathetic "Proud Boys" chasing immigrants do so as well. For me, violence against other people is a line I don't see myself crossing. But I can think of scenarios where I would understand people resorting to it.

Well, How Not To Die sold a lot of books, but he claims to give ALL book sales to charity and encourages readers to rent his books from libraries and to friends. Before his bestseller, he was on the road for years giving speeches, sleeping in his car. He doesn't sell any supplements, merchandise or snakeoil. This is not your typical behavior to get rich fast, is it?
Yeah he wants to spread a message, and this message is based on science. My public health insurance and even the states society for nutrition (Germany) shares the same recommendations by now, 10 years after How Not To Die was released. To me, he is more like the guy who discovered that leaded gasoline is highly harmful to humans and can't stop talking about it.

What's the agenda?

You discredit a webpage that cites all it's scientific sources and call Michael Greger a quak because two people think some aspects of a study he cites are inaccurate?! That's your argument? The study has pissed off the entire food industry, of course there are people who disagree with it. And even these two don't question the basic message: Whole food plant based diet is by far the best diet to heal our bodies and our planet. Is that his bias?

No meat, no planes and no unnecessary Amazon purchases still applies. Be the change you want to see in the world. Or are just looking for an excuse like the billionaires and everyone else?

I like this debate, yet it's getting long and complex, this would be better face to face. That's why I'm picking only one topic:
One hemp bag needs to be used +1000 times to replace a thousand plastic bags in co2 emissions (they degrade, so at least they don't kill sea animals, though). I have like 50 of them at home (bought none of them). Recycling is a lie as well, most stuff is still useless.
My point is: People are all for saving the planet as long as it's as easy as buying a different or even a new product. People love to consume. But we won't save anything with this mentality. We need to go NO THANKS! and stop habits that really affect us. Kroger shipping produce is not the problem, look at the first graph here, the stuff millions eat daily is. So, no more flying, no more meat, no more Amazon, we need to ostracize this behavior. Clean energy, public transport, EV, you money at an ethical bank is great if you can afford it and will get us a long way.
Again: I know this won't save us and I'm all for canceling fossil destroyers, holding billionaires accountable and putting CEOs in jail. But it's much easier to change yourself than to change Tylor Swift.

Yes, there is a difference between the elite and the lower class, but it's only in resources and opportunities. If both sides switched positions the lower class people would go for exactly the same fun as the elite is having right know. Because that's the way we are born and raised, greedy and selfish. Purging a couple of assholes and replacing them with fresh soon-to-be assholes won't solve this. Our mindset needs to change. We need to agree on what is important, what is enough and what's obscene.

I agree so very much.
People around me fly on holidays by plane like two, three times a year, still eat meat, shower twice a day and buy shit they don't need from Amazon, because they can. This needs to stop! Will it save us? Of course not, but who else is going to stop the global suicide machine? Trump? The fossil destroyers? Do you want to protest another 70 years or go blow up a pipeline?
We are billions, we have the power of "No, thanks, I don't want that" every fucking day but the endless consumption of stuff is too tempting. Instead, we sit at home, comfortably warm, well fed and lonely, in front of our seethrough plexiglas RGB LED computers and point fingers at corporations that are exactly as greedy, selfish and irresponsible as every single one of us.
NO THANKS! This could be the easiest global movement, no violence, no riots, yet corporations would be powerless. But you'd need to change, and you don't want that.

Edit: If you downvote, please tell me where I'm wrong and what's your counter-proposal in this actual situation right now.
