  • The new twitter or whatever.

  • Completely agree, but news articles keep embedding videos that will not play in place. Also mildly infuriating.

  • On a Mac, close is on the left.

  • Pretty cool. As helmets go, I was always taken with the Jaffa helmets from the Stargate movie (not the silly ones from the show though... LOL)

  • They are trying to trap it, but were too stupid to figure out that they should be on the outside of the box. This hunting trip will not go well for them.

  • It's good. And I mean that in the most evil feminist way.

  • Earthbound is one of those games I played halfway through 10 times, but never finished. Of course I didn't have a copy when I was a kid.

  • Imagine packing the court with conservative stooges, doing something SO unconstitutional that those stooges tell you to stop, then defying the orders of your lopsided Supreme Court, that you built yourself.

  • I haven't been back to reddit in a month (minus one link from a search that didn't even have the information I was looking for). I don't even notice anymore.

  • A near infinite source of free energy cheaper than pumping ever more scarce liquid from the ground? Who could have predicted this?

  • I think a lot of people don't realize that the book and movie aren't REALLY the same story. They were written in parallel together and Kubrick has never been one to make faithful recreations of source material anyway.

I do love The Day the Earth Stood Still also. A lot of people will right it off because it seems a little hokey due to it's age.

  • Same same. Wait until you start seeing Gameboys in history museums.

  • Like I said. I hate ads, and I like that the channels I watch get paid a better rate than what they would from someone who views the ads.

  • Be the change you want to see.

  • I won't think anyone was trying to say that any metric unit nation would convert to imperial (unless I missed something). It's just unfortunate that it is so difficult to get imperial nations to convert to metric since it would make life easier for the very people who refuse to change (in the long term of course, short term would be chaos).

  • What's the advantage to using 0 for freezing than 32 or 100 instead of 212? If anything there is a higher precision built into the whole numbers on the Fahrenheit scale for the sake of calibration. It would only be an advantage if you couldn't wrap your head around a different number to represent those states.

  • Hey will you pass me that 3/16ths? No wait, make that a 3/8ths. No wait, let's try one size up 7/16ths... [kill me]
