Requiring a lot of water to grow something isn't inherently problematic. The issues only come in when wealthy landowners steal drinking water during drought conditions to grow things. When it comes down to brass tacks, the cartels are more of an issue with avocado production (and actually one of the bigger reasons they are expensive).
All that to say, it doesn't really matter in the end. If you enjoy your avocados and can afford them, have at it. We're all doomed to be crushed under the cloven hooves of our billionaire gods anyway.
I am sure you can get exactly what you need 3d Printed. There are a lot of people who could do it for you too. c/3dprinting would probably have some people interested in helping.
While this looks like I game I would definitely give a shot. Other than the setting, it doesn't really seem "Monkey Island-like" at all. Although with that title I hope there are some serious "The Haunted Mansion" themes.
Yeah that is a tough size if it's all you have. When I fist got mine I had just the mini and a CR10s 400 which is 400x400mm so anything I could get away with on the little guy I did and kept the big projects on the monster.
While this wouldn't be as bad for the Expanse than some other series, skipping would miss out on a lot of little things and characters that either didn't exist or were combined with others for the TV show. Either way it is still worth reading, but reading them all is superior.
The books are FAR FAR better than the TV show (which was better than most adaptations). It is WELL worth reading in my opinion.
Edit: Forgot to mention that there is a lot more story in the books as well. The closest point where the show ends, there are one or two more books and they are bangers.
I am 100% still here and more active than I ever was on Reddit. Getting to know the positives and negatives of Lemmy has been a good experience. The only disadvantage to Lemmy over Reddit is the same as it has always been. It's smaller and therefore harder to keep niche communities active. I haven't been back to Reddit at all with the exception a link or two that a non converted friend sent over to check out. I still feel that the general vibe is a much friendlier and more collaborative one. I suspect that this somewhat due to being a smaller place with a large amount of its users fleeing the walls of Reddit. I am sure the dynamic here will change over time (and to some small degree it has already) but this place is still my last, best hope, for a piece of online community that isn't feeding a megacorporate machine who sees it's users as nothing more than cattle to consume their advertisements and like it.
Honestly, if Lemmy changes into something toxic, I believe it will be my opportunity to exit social media altogether. I have already gone scorched earth on Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor, and Reddit. It will serve as proof that what I have been jokingly saying all along is true, "The internet was a mistake".
Check the stastics and come back.
