Voters' revealed preferences demonstrate time and again they do not cast ballots based on foreign policy, climate policy, education, inequality, gun control, etc. It's basically just the economy, violent crime, and immigration that decide elections. As such, climate discussions were properly left out of discussions at the most recent debate.

Space is cold and not dense. Heat needs to move from a high energy medium to a low energy medium to be dissipated. Since there isn’t any matter for the thermal energy to be transferred to, cooling in space is actually quite difficult.

That’s not how any of this works. There isn’t adverse possession in geopolitics. If the world says it’s not yours it starts being called “contested” — like Kashmir or Transnistria. That would be a huge step backwards for China on the issue. Honestly, they’ve already lost this one for the foreseeable future — they don’t have a political path forward and they absolutely lack the ability to resolve the matter by force.
