  • I don't think it's communism anymore but the Chinese gov are actually looking after their own citizens in my opinion. I kind wish Xi was in charge of the UK honestly.

They tend to think of everything long term and all of those projects are paying off, also Healthcare free education etc they are investing more in their own population than anyone else. US is in my opinion as UK guy pretty much done they've picked a fight that they won't win.

  • Thanks, also I've worked out if I scroll the name up high on my screen with the edge to edge off I can block anyway so that's a good workaround. Only posted the problem because I believed it was an every single time thing.

  • I could swear I read something about China completely switching to Australian LNG at some point in the last week or so. I don't think they will reverse this even if Trump comes to his senses.

  • I had a post deleted the other day with no mod messages or anything just for saying China should put an export tax on phones to the US.

Reddits pretty ridiculous for discussing any serious topics really.

  • Nah its just that they need longer ranged hypersonic missiles themselves but have been failing, so yeah China has a huge lead now.

US just needs new missiles and new missile destroyers to join th carrier group.

  • I think the Chinese Mach 10 Yj-21 hypersonic missile should send pretty much any carrier group to hell if they have 2 or 3 of the type 055 destroyers launching them at once.

Given any carrier battles probably happening in the Tawain strait I'd expect the land based and fighter based missiles would be launched as well so yeah I give the US really no chance of winning that one as things stand.

I think the US badly needs the same type of missile but they seem to be only getting failures, I read earlier in the week they'd cancelled another (Halo).

Don't get me wrong I'm sure the US could launch enough of their own LRASMs (stealth anti ship missile) to do some damage back but they'd likely not survive to see the result or get that many planes airborne to launch them.

  • I think so but it would take root or some kinda of workaround I think.

  • Pretty vital stuff for future Jets, advanced radars, missiles etc on just the military side. Strategic move by China it will probably slow the US down a lot in a great many areas for potentially years.

  • Your right sorry I deleted the comment before I saw your reply because I realised I was being a whiner about reddits censorship on lemmy. I do visit reddit but I use a revanced patched infinity app.

  • I think it's strategic for when he pulls the US out of Nato, of course he will want the resources as well.

  • Play on the streets unsupervised have knives, playing on building sites and similar and that was about at a guess 6 or 7. We also played in the local park and generally got up to mischief.

  • I don't think it'll effect China really it's a seriously dangerous play for America though the best case scenario for them is ending up with $2500 phones. Worst case is they lose the reserve currency and end up paying that for a potato.

China will have loads of Countries willing to take up the trading slack the US has created for all of them.

  • Personally I'm siding with China he's going to hit the rest of us again in 3 months again. This is blatant stock manipulation in my opinion and he should be jailed for both that and treason.

  • They just put 25% tarrifs on the US so I guess these are interesting times if nothing else.

  • There's Irish Scottish and Japanese whisky which are in my opinion superior anyway, should take a leaf from Canadas book and take them off the shelves.

  • I kinda want China to just state no more trade to the USA, matter concluded.

I wanna see Trumps meltdown when he realises he can't fix it.

  • Americans at least the ones on YouTube (not a fair Demographic I admit) seem in utter denial about China surpassing them in things.

Its Taiwan I feel bad for as I don't think the US is even capable of saving it anymore and it looks like China may have noticed.

  • Yeah that's a big no from me my last handheld console was the Vita and I felt even that was overpriced for games that were actually on the cartridge.

If everything is actually digital I'm simply not buying Sony killed my account with them because I didn't login within 6 months and I'd actually bought games there so screw digital

  • Yeah I get that it's obvious they are going to introduce an oled later. Very predictable imo and yeah if I ever buy one it's going to be oled as well.

But yeah I'm at least waiting to see if the battery life is decent and what other titles it gets beforehand, right now I feel it has potential But at this moment in time I'd rather have a pc based handheld.
