It's thanks to Trump and the churches' not only acceptance, but adoration, that has made me completely dismiss religion. These people are completely full of shit and have zero credibility.

The oil industry is 100% of the economy. Double oil prices and see what happens to the price of everything else.

Because they aren't taking Medicare away from the elderly. They've been proposing to take it away from gen x and future generations. The boomers still get theirs under all the proposals I've seen.

It's called climate change because it's more than global warming. A lot of things are changing, and they're all bad. To just say global warming would be ignoring all of the other problems.

Yeah just 20 years ago, much of the world was a bunch of primitive people living in jungles, and the planet could balance the relatively small number of industrialized nations. Today, way more countries have been industrialized. Countries like Vietnam, Thailand, etc are now concrete cities with massive highways and bridges, motorized vehicles everywhere, and factories manufacturing all kinds of stuff and pumping huge clouds of crap into the air. The EU and US try to pass laws and regulations to lower pollution output, but the factories just move to these other countries that have no or less regulations. We aren't at steadily increasing pollution levels, it's exponentially increasing.

The biggest problem with politics these days is there can't be ANY overlap between the parties. They can't agree on ANYTHING. If a democrat says "I like breathing oxygen," a republican will say he prefers breathing something else. There's so much that people in both parties agree on in principle, but they can never say it. I think the left is more willing to agree with the right, because the left is more principled, but a republican is simply incapable of telling someone on the left "you're right and I agree with you." They instead have to be contrarian about everything. Whatever the left says, never agree with it, and make a statement of complete opposition, no matter what. When the left starts supporting a war against Russia, the right starts supporting Russia. It's sickening.

We're sending old military equipment to Ukraine, and that equipment was specifically made in case we have to fight Russia one day. So it's pretty much being used for its original intent.

No, they're referring to the fact that if you buy a Tesla, the government pays for something like 20% of the cost. You multiply that subsidy times the number of Teslas sold, and a massive chunk of Musk's wealth is government funded.

Yeah, I've been using the internet since the 90s, and I've never clicked a single ad, aside from accidentally clicking one because it moved under my mouse cursor or finger right as I was trying to click something else. I'm very selective in what I buy, and don't just buy something because I saw an ad. The only advertising that sometimes works on me is an ad for something new at taco bell, pizza hut, etc. Where you're like huh, that looks pretty good, I'll have to try one. But any durable goods that aren't consumable, yeah I'm doing research before I buy it.

Oh I see you ran this company into the ground. Made terrible decisions, laid off most of the staff, collected a 5 million dollar bonus, then filed bankruptcy. You want to come run our company? We'll pay you 8 million a year and give you 15 million if/when you destroy our company just like you did to the last one!

Because the company was about to go bankrupt, so they had to get it while the gettin was good.
