  • 300 was worth paying money for in theater, as well as Watchmen.

  • Avatar 2 was awesome in theater, at least in Imax 3D. It was so fucking gorgeous, I was transfixed.

  • I would disagree that senators and congressmen are just vote messengers. They run on active platforms, respond to changes in their constituencies (hopefully), deal with new issues as they arise.

Electors literally just ferry the states vote to Washington, that's it and job done. Representatives continually represent the will of their constituents through multiple years, or at least that's what they are supposed to do.

  • Nope, it's a really great adaptation. The changes they made were mostly to make it work better in live action, and a few story changes I actually really liked since they improved on aspects of some characters back stories.

And really, it's juts a lot of fun. My girlfriend who doesn't watch any anime absolutely loved the live action version, and is impatient for season 2.

  • But they aren't really, they're just vote messengers, they aren't on capital hill making laws and advocating for their constituents.

  • Not OP, but attend undergrad. When I was in undergrad I specialized in chemistry, but I still needed to take breadth requirement courses in humanities and social sciences. So I did papers in chemistry, physics, statistics, political theory, ancient Greek history, and English throughout my undergrad.

  • The electors only exist because it made it possible to hold a vote across a large nation in a time when horses were the fastest mode of communication. And each elector was supposed to carry the results of the same number of voters.

But the country has grown, with some states growing in population much faster than others. Yet the number of electors remains unchanged. Not to mention electors are now completely unnecessary as we have fast and reliable communication methods.

  • Nope, because you fail to understand how Israel denying the movement of aid into Gaza would be a bad look for them.

And Netanyahu is still a piece of shit who needs to be removed form power, but not for allowing aid into Gaza.

  • The president isn't voted on as part of the representatives, the office of the president is a separate vote and is supposed to be a direct vote. But the number of electors for each state has not kept up with each state's population, which has fucked up the power of presidential votes.

  • Now before you continue your mental circlejerk

    Pot, meet kettle.

Money is considered aid, always has been.

  • And some people's vote for president is worth more than others.

  • And now you have an even worse humanitarian crisis, and a pissed off international community because you've denied aid to Gaza. Congrats, you're a terrible world leader.

  • But unlike sending food, it is non-perishable, and can allow a country to buy what it needs. Money is aid.

  • No, they did factor in food and clothing. See QualifiedKitten's response in the comments.

  • I've always gone 30-33 is early, 34-36 is mid, and 37-39 is late myself.

  • Money is aid. Money can buy food, and water, and whatever other supplies a state needs.

  • Given the thousands of rockets fired at Israel by Hamas from Gaza every year, the international community is understanding of a blockade being put in place.

Denying the passage of aid across that blockade however would be seen as far worse.

And the current air-strikes are a result of a large scale attack against Israel, so they are seen by many as justified. Though you can see most of the world now sees Israel as going too far. Thus proving that Israel can only get away with so much before their allies drop off.

  • And many women find being referred to as boi to be incredibly insulting. Especially if they are more androgynous, and it's often used as an insult against them.

And when the model is specifically modelling for the women's section of a store, is is pretty safe to assume gender. It is highly unlikely someone would model for a gender they aren't.

  • Of course they lobbied not to sanction Qatar. Once again how would it look to the world if Israel worked to deny aid to Palestine?

And I never said Netanyahu was a swell guy, he needs to be removed from power as well as Hamas.

  • She's modelling for the women's section of the Prada website, so it's reasonably safe to assume she is a woman.
