  • Even if that were true, what does that have to do with Ukraine?

  • Because young men have problems that aren't taken seriously. Then someone like Tate comes along and (quite literally) sells the "solution."

If a cult leader can swoop in and radicalise a whole lot of people, then there is an unaddressed or ignored problem going on. This is the kind of way someone like Hitler got so much support.

People who are educated, and live secure, fulfilling lives would be able to see Tate for the twat he is.

  • Likewise, but I seem to be having major issues with Unreal Engine games in general. UE5 games tend to complain about lack of DX12, and UE4 games run very poorly.

Meanwhile I'm getting pretty good performance on Cyberpunk 2077 with nearly all the settings maxed out.

  • Yes, that's why you'd make it a remaster; to fix all of those things.

  • Can't play the game. Just like Nightengale before it, it seems like Intel Arc cards still have issues supporting DX12 on Linux.

Game won't launch because it complains DX12 is unsupported.

  • Proton is a fork of wine. I believe they still use parts from each other.

  • Yes. I'll be an asshole to those that stand in the way of good things. No remorse.

  • Radioactive nuclear materials comes from the Earth. All one has to do is put it back in the Earth. Finland built a massive underground nuclear waste storage facility, but there are also technologies being developed to reclaim nuclear waste (because only a very small amount if the material actually gets used in the fission process).

  • I don't use Web apps/software to begin with, explicitly because I don't live under the illusion that everything will somehow exists forever, exactly the way it is.

I've been homeless, so I know how it is to be an artist without being online all the time. If the tool you use needs to be always online for some reason (and it's not specifically related to the Internet), it's a bad and useless tool.

It's the reason I'm not jumping on the Photopea train until they release a proper installable program.

  • So long as the checkmark isn't bought through some subscription service, I'm fine with this.

The whole reason why verification exists is because other will steal the name of someone famous and masquerade as them, with real world consequences. A verification system now means that certain platforms and people will get more attracted to be there, and thus Bluesky will grow.

  • Refreshing not to see the comment section full of anti-nuclear brainlets. For a second I thought Lemmy was a Greenpeace hot-spot.

    Anyway...

One good turn deserves another. If others won't follow because of good example, hopefully other countries will instead follow because of competition.

  • Fuck "stagnation", how about "being satisfied"?

  • Like, I agree. But we all know that he's not saying this out of the goodness of his heart. Completely removing any sort of IP laws right now would mean tech billionaires like him get free reign training AI models... And more importantly, making money with AI models.

  • I use mine. Bluetooth is great and all, but it's still not the same quality as a hard-line. And they also run out of batteries.

  • Denmark has Pricerunner. When buying electronics I can find many different types of local dealers and suppliers.

Second hand can be gotten through Den Blå Avis (dba.dk. Essentially translates to "The Blue Pages").

Clothing has various online solutions as well, but it's also easy to just hop onto a bike and cycle to the nearest shopping centre. I live in Copenhagen, so there's also train and metro, but I prefer biking.

When it comes to food, I only ever order food online through Too Good To Go. Recently got a large breakfast cereal box through TGTG.

  • Unless I'm mistaken, this game should basically be Conan Exiles but Dune (hopefully with improvements over Conan Exiles).

If this is indeed correct, then it should be possible to play the game offline single player, or set up your own server to play with your friends.

  • Take your upvote and fuck off. >:V

  • The population is, just as much as you are the populations. The benefit of living in a society must be a two way street, but long gone are the days where honest work earns you an honest living.
