  • And they'll keep at it until the weather people stop making up that it's getting hotter. If they would just say "everything is ok, the weather is fixed now, we can go back to making money without feeling guilty" then they would stop getting fired. Easy problem to solve.

    /s of course....

  • Wish there was just a store that covered all the fads all the time. We all know they are going to keep cycling around, why not let some of us pick a spot on the wheel to stay in forever. Instead of having to wait for it to come back in style and stock back up then.

  • Yeah, "well, there were other meetings going on which had to end first" and "there was absolutely no wait time at all"...

I think I can discern what he meant but couldn't articulate, but if we have to interpret what a more capable person would have said any time the president speaks....

But since we do have to interpret what he must have meant, my interpretation is that he was trying to say "there was reasonable justification for the wait time, it wasn't artificially increased as a power-play". Though a counter argument would be, that is exactly how a power play of artificially increasing wait times is accomplished. Instead of scheduling stuff so that people will be met with at a reasonable time given their circumstances, things are shuffled around to make the person unsure when they are supposed to go in. Enough so that they can't leave cuz it could be any minute, but long enough that they should feel slighted. 2 hours would be a pretty ridiculous slight. Making someone spend 8 hours in your lobby without leaving is overkill. That means the whole time they kept assuring him it would be soon. At no point did they give him any heads up that he could maybe safely go to lunch or dinner or whatever since it wasn't gonna be "that" soon.

For these meetings, it is generally considered a normal level of respect for the meeting to occur within an hour of the plane landing. Especially for someone who should be incredibly busy and scheduled to have other meetings in other countries that same day.

8 hours is fully, literally, toying with him. 100% showing how little they respect him and who he represents. 3 or 4 hours would have accomplished a complete and utter embarrassment... they wanted to set a record, just for fun.

  • Awesome, that's what I was hoping to hear. I miss the olden days when it was more realistic that you had to/could work for your car, and slowly upgrade and save up. Now that isn't even believable in a video game world anymore, it's been replaced with winning cars in a lottery, the only believable way for people to afford a nice car nowadays. Hehe.

  • The worst part... they think that's what they did with Elon... they are just so dumb that he seems smart to them. More of a problem with idiocracy, dumb people can't actually identify smart people. They call it luck...

  • The microsoft store sells games? I thought that was only used to occasionally update your xbox for pc controllers by grabbing the xbox accessories app. Never seen the microsoft store otherwise.

  • This constant "asking the crowd if he is doing a dumb" kind of feels like on idiocracy, during monday night rehabilitation when the executioner is at first seemingly pandering to the crowd, and then you start to realise he actually needs their help to find Not Sure.

  • I personally don't support people saying that either. Punching people in the face is not a great way to change their minds that they are being "the bad guy". And I think seeing alot of people post that, is counter productive to the goal of getting along and solving problems together reasonably.

But I don't, and shouldn't, control what everyone else thinks is a good idea.

  • Yeah, kind of an empty threat. It's just picking who gets to start not having federal funding first.

And the only way to make the protests "illegal" is to seed fake violence into them.

It's just step one on a list of steps to get to schools not having any federal funds slow enough that people don't get enough "up in arms" to actually stop it.

They know liberals have to be pushed pretty hard to actually be violent, so they are pushing 90% as hard as that, but constantly.

  • Free speech isn't intended to supercede criminal law. Advocating for hurting people is a crime. If they want to do it and have it be covered as "free speech", they need to start by changing the law.

  • I would hope that the AI would at least be trying to sound human. Otherwise, probably not much I can do. I am Autistic, with most of the traits that make me seem like some super advanced android rather than a human. As far as I can tell, after 40 years of life, I have no emotions, just logic.

So if I can't convince them by saying the AI would be able to mimic a human better than I can, then I'm out of luck.
