  • Wish all you want that Trump preferably dies soon but it doesn't matter. He is merely the punching bag and front for the real rulers: the oligarchs. They will only prop up someone else as the fall guy, while they steal every fibre, life and soul of everything they touches.

I can't wait for corporate fascism! Enclave when?! /s

But seriously, America wants to speedrun to corporate fascism (Thiel and Musk are accelerationists after all). But even without this speed running, corpo-fascism is only the logical conclusion of America's deranged obsession and worshipping of capitalism.

  • Well, my losses is not even 1% of my yearly salary so I am not too worried about what happened. I am also minimalist and don't buy frivolous stuff but only what I need. Therefore I definitely took a measured risk imo and never threatened my savings. It has only been recent changes in my life that afforded me more time to learn more.

Like I said to another poster, a friend (who made 200k as an ordinary person) introduced me to stocks didn't tell me that CFD is risky and different to normal investing. Our lives went separate ways and I don't think I will ever have the chance to rant to him that he never told me CFD is not investing! Although, I do now have proper investment portfolio and set aside 10% of my monthly wages to them.

Thank you for the advise and definitely I developed trading strategy which I think will minimise the risk than before!

  • To be honest, it was a friend who introduced me to stocks. He made 200k in two years. I tried it and put little money that was not even 1% of my entire year's salary, as I am aware that one should put money they are okay with losing and will not affect their entire lives in just one second. However, little did I know that the trading platform I was recommended by said friend is CFD, which is entirely different to investing. And I lost that entire 0.5% of my yearly salary.

Thanks Aron! You didn't tell me CFD is risky!

The loss wasn't that huge but still considerable. Now I do proper investing and set aside 10% of my monthly wage to investing into my stock portfolio, which I am confident will grow in years to come. But then a quarter of that money I set aside monthly, I would put it into CFD. I started in CFD, so might as well steam ahead with it. With lesson learned, more research and practice under my belt, I am confident that I have good grasp of trading but I will still be playing safe enough. If I stick to my strategy and remain patient, I should be able to earn some profit even if it's not the same 20% again.

  • Haha that's true.

Akshually, that hypothetical 20% profit is 20% of what I lost from stock trading from the previous entire year. It took me that much of embarrassing huge losses to finally read up and practice more about trading (and my circumstances now finally allowed me to do so). I guess now it is finally paying off but in practice mode! And I guess I had bit of luck at the moment since Trump's tariff had been ruled unconstitutional by the federal court, so the stock market feel very confident.

  • The Ukrainians were far from cutting off Crimea in 2022. They barely made it like 5-10 kilometres? And unfortunately, the area they recaptured is being slowly grounded away by Russian counterattacks in the past two years. The Ukrainians were hoping that Russia at the time haven't learned their lesson and could replicate Ukrainian rapid offensive in Kharkiv in autumn of 2021.

The surprise Ukrainian offensive into Kursk proved you can hide your intentions. It isn't like Ukraine haven't learned their lesson beforehand. Speaking of which, the incursion wasn't told to the White House either when Biden was president.

  • I don't think it's because Trump is a Russian asset which is why they haven't told the White House, but because Ukrainians have had bad experience with their plans being leaked before. The 2023 Ukrainian offensive failed because the Russian knew they were coming, and everyone including the media and their mothers shouted it across the rooftops for weeks. Back then, I thought "isn't this a bad idea to report it on the media"? But then I am an armchair analyst so I guess the Ukrainians and Bidem knew what they were doing (turns out they didn't). Since then, Ukrainians choose to hide their intentions.

    Edit: incorrect year

  • You joke, but there was an imam who said it is bad for a man to wear beards because it tempts other people. Tell us you're gay without telling us you're gay, lol.

There was an Iranian official who manages the censorship board. Iirc, he got caught sending extremely explicit messages to a man in his early twenties.

    Religion is a cancer.

  • so I would be weary about gleaning financial advice from a chatbot.

Oh yes, I use the bots for projections, which I don't necessarily take on the face value. Some calculations had been off but as long as I gain some actual profits, I am content enough.

  • The maker of Deep Seek made it so it would be easier for him to do stocks, which I am doing as well. Unless you all expect us to get degree on how to manually calculate the P/E ratio, potential loss and earnings, position sizing, spread and leverage, compounding, etc., then I will keep using AI. Not everyone of us could specialise on particular areas.
