THIS is immediately thought about: the Danes are in no position to be criticising ridiculous ceremonial garb. Also, that's exactly the kind of self-assured arrogance I'd expect from a German. Also, ok, SOME Dutch are gorgeous, but the rest look like someone replaced their head with a milk crate.
Food is getting so adulterated it is becoming cheaper and more satisfying to just cook everything from scratch. After using the homemade versions, I can't go back ... especially at the cost of pre-prepared stuff.
This is what gave me some peace: it could all end horribly for me at any minute. Anything could happen. I could get hit by a bus. I could die painfully from some fucked up disease. A fat asteroid could hit the earth. It's all out of my control. Or things could turn out for the better, by some way I never foresaw. The best thing for us to do is to strive to be good people and care for what is in front of us.
I still find it a bit of a mindfuck that humanity is being such a deleterious effect on this beautiful world.
... and I do think that growing up under the threat of nuclear holocaust must have been similarly terrifying.
Not the point of the post, but I was part of evacuating a camp that burned in that fire pictured above. All the infrastructure is just toast. It's all gone. We were sitting underneath the huge plume of smoke. We had to evacuate North through Vernon and it was crazy coming back South into Kelowna in the night and seeing the extent of the flames across the lake.
... I think it's actually a Latin word, "re,", meaning, "the matter (subject)" not an abbreviation at all.
