  • LOL I feel called out and seen at the same time. One of us!

  • Because the masses always know what's best and haven't bought into a trend.

  • So nobody would ever time such an announcement after such a divestiture.

  • There's a few of them that seem to work fairly reliably, but the rest just don't play or have error messages on load. Take a bit of time to keep hitting the ping instances button and add the ones that seem to respond well to your list.

With the way youtube throttles these connections, it's not going to be the same experience, but I'm stubborn like that.

  • Kickstarter was like... 2011 or 2012, so just over a decade. I know because that's 50 bucks I'm never gonna get back, but at least it was worth less back then xD

  • I just love that we can sit here in the fediverse and talk about it without one or the other getting banned. I guess I'm old school first amendment.

  • I love that someone downvotes this. Ahhh the internet. Whoever was offended by my explanation and thinks it's not an appropriate post... I hope something good happens to you today.

  • I applaud you, I really do. You've shown an awareness of the world as it is that many young people don't seem to have; even as they've been inundated with information that might inform them that THIS IS A TRAP!

I don't fault them, though, because much of that inundation also tells them that if they just 'apply here for $$' they'll be fine and as a kid I know which truth I'd like to believe. My own husband, who is frighteningly bright at all matters other than finance, fell for those same lies.

The truth is that a parent needs to help their kids navigate the "D&D full of monsters dungeon" to take advantage of the build that makes one successful... and while it can be done it's just 'nightmare difficulty'. If you can play through this, the rest of life gets a hell of a lot easier.

If you can't, you're gonna have to rely on politicians to 'make things right'. What's the likelihood of that in this day and age?

@Gingeybook I'd like to posit that you could profit from educating others. Just throwing that out there.

  • M8, I wasn't talking about you, just the article. Nothing but love for my fellows, here... and even opinions I don't much like. ;)

  • Because everyone can run out and get a 4x because of Starfield. What a chode lol

  • I just figured they put it there for some modder to let people build their own bases.

  • I mean, why in the world with someone at all concerned about security want a way to listen to their phone without the chance of someone listening in because of bluetooth?

  • The language is still a warning sign and it looks like it's going to pass. Don't get me wrong, this is a victory but only a temporary one until they find a tech that works for them. Don't let down your guard and keep pressing the fight!

  • Welcome. There are dozens of us!

I drive if it's less than 14 hours, but as I get older that may start to change.

  • I use Wordpad on the reg because it handles formatting better for when I copy/paste it into other media. It opens up instantly and I don't have to pay for Microsoft Office.

  • Yes, there are other species that react negatively to hypoxic environments:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inertgasasphyxiation

But the idea with using it on humans is that we don't react negatively. We don't even feel like we're suffocating, like with excessive CO2. Nitrogen is plentiful and is already being used for legal suicide elsewhere, which is why they're wanting to use it.

  • I dunno, there's plenty of people that need to be sent off a bridge. JS
