Honestly this is one of the few things that have improved in driving over the years. There's still the occasional douchecanoe who rides in between both lanes to keep anyone from getting by, but that is now the exception as far as I've seen.

Came here to say this. Imagine the backroom conversations going on in Parliament when the chickens came home to roost. I'm not saying they're wrong, btw, but it just seems wild that they were the one suggesting a Palestinian state when they carved out Israel back in the day and have done literally nothing to actually make it happen.

I think there ARE other ways to combat this, and the main one is ending activist investors that empower the Jack Welch pump and dump doctrine.

If someone wants to invest in something because they like it, they should be able to do that. What they should NOT be able to do is overwhelm a company they may or may not even like with dollars and then tell the company how to run its own business. If you don't like what a company is doing, you SELL YOUR STOCK.

Cancelled two weeks ago, and while it's too early for me to have a fully informed opinion, so far I've noticed that if you just hold items in your cart until you reach some kind of threshold (and I admittedly don't know what that is) you can get free shipping anyway.

It's almost like I was paying all that money just so I could one off order anything on a whim. I'm an adult, I can exercise impulse control and stick it to Amazon in some small way by doing it. Win/Win.

Hahah yeah water glassing is kind of a throwback that helps keep them even through temp variations. We did an experiment back when we had a homestead a few years ago, where we cleaned any nasties if there were any and then dipped the eggs in oil and kept them in a cool room.

We came back every three months to try an egg. We ended the experiment at 2 years after which 25% of them began to float. The rest were still edible but the yolk wouldn't stay together when cracked.
