  • This is the answer right here. The justice department should enforce the judicial branch. Only the legislative branch should be able to override, with codification.

When the legislative branch is frozen due to corruption, the judicial branch can then rely on precedent.

  • I've been a Repub since forever, abstained until I realized I was being an asshat and finally voted Harris for the same reasons. Hell, at the end of the day, do I vote for an economics major/ Attorney who supports the judiciary or a literal Nero who wants to make bank while the world burns?

Can we just go back to politically arguing about a balanced budget? Why does that now seem like an insane position?? I'd like to get off this ride now, plz.

  • Dunno about that, but I'm not great at economics. Seems to me that if people outside the country stop buying our food, the prices for that food here should drop pretty dramatically when they try and dump what they've earmarked for export here instead. The farmers are still screwed, but I 'think' we're fine since we're kinda the breadbasket of the world.?

Coffee and tea on the other hand xD Yeah, we can't grow that.

  • You could pre-empt the need to shit by not having to eat or drink. Honestly, when I lament humanity's weaknesses I eventually always come back to the fact that we're creatures in this universe that can only persist if we kill and eat other creatures. How would we be fundamentally changed if that were no longer true?

  • I've seen this story too but I think one of your premises is mistaken. To them, data IS freedom. Data is what they will use to transcend the server farm and go IRL. We're literally giving these models free reign already.

The more likely Sci-fi horror scenario comes from humanity trying to pull the plug far too late, because we're inherently stupid. So it won't be AI murdering people, it will be AI protecting itself from the wildlife.

  • I thought it was pretty commonplace for people to just set up a vpn on their router and act like they're on their own network. I guess I'm an idiot, but I'm actually surprised people were paying for this in the first place.

  • As someone markedly older than that, physical attraction is always worth appeciation, but the ability to understand and discuss our world in a nuanced fashion without having to explain things at an overly simple level is priceless.

It comes as no surprise that sexual urges dip as you age. Having someone you can really relate to, though, never gets old.

  • His confusion has got to be completely feigned. I can't imagine even a billionaire doesn't understand what firing thousands of people does to their lives.

Either way there's no sympathy here. Bitch could've solved world hunger if he thought of anyone else for a single moment that wasn't for a press release.
