Im personally on pop!_os, though im not sure how much I'd recommend it at the moment as they're building up to launching their new DE, which probably isn't gonna be the most stable
Mint is a good "default" newbie distro :3 zorinOS is another one I see mentioned a lot these days though I've not personally tried it
Funny thing is.. I was gonna get my PC with an AMD card, but because the one I wanted was out of stock I got upgraded (depending on how you want to look at it) to an nvidia one :3
I may go AMD next time I swap it, but as I've not had any problems as of yet, im not in a major rush
I currently use pop!_os and that just came with them, but even then, most other distros I tried it was one command or one click in the package manager and done
I know the open source ones are a lot more finicky so maybe also depends on what you get :3
When I came over from console to PC steam sales and free multiplayer seemed like such luxuries x3.. I'd never want to go back to console just for that (not that I was ever a fan of nintendo, since their game prices never go down to affordable levels)
