Also on motorbikes you are more stable at high speed so better to hit a dog at speed than slow down which could lead to person behind you hitting you or you crashing.
Ok seems I was wrong.
I only regretted that I bought a BMW because it eventually broke down and I had to pay an exorbitant BMw tax to fix it. So high it wasn’t worth it. To be clear the fix itself wouldn’t have been too much if BMW didn’t block third parties from doing it.
Loved having electric though. Next car will definitely be electric. Full tank of ‘gas’ leaving the house everyday. Never having to go to petrol stations…
I have no issue with 2. But they have to live in it for part of the year. If someone wants a summer home that they earn after working hard then why deny them.
However any more houses should be taxed at a rate that makes them untenable.
I use OpenMediaVault with ZFS plugin. I find it good for my needs. I tried TrueNAS and didn’t like it. Never tried unraid because it costs money and I wanted bit rot protection.
GNOME because it just works better with network shares. Really wanted to use KDE but I use a lot of network shares and it just annoyed me.
In KDE I open a network folder in the file browser, double click a video and VLC can’t see it because it uses a different sharing protocol.
On GNOME it just works seamlessly.
I know I can fix it in command line, but I don’t want to. I tried the KDE fuse plug in but that had other issues.
