VTuber fandom has the extreme opposites. By just being in the Hololive community I’ve seen people being absolute gems and creating content that everyone loves (Kay Yu, Kanauru, 2ManySnacks)… and on the other side people gatekeeping everything, way too parasocial fans, thirst everywhere and extreme tribalism.
If you stop at top comments/posts it’s usually a great experience, you just have to learn to stop scrolling when the toxicity begins.
However, if someone posts “Karl Marx is great” or “Communism makes sense” or “capitalism is bad”, you’ll probably see a defederation before the enter key is hit. (Hexbear).
Uhh… !aboringdystopia@lemmy.world is literally “CAPITALISM BAD” on a constant basis and it’s one of the most upvoted communities on the instance. And I don’t think Marx is the one people actually have an issue with, it’s more all the idolization of Stalin, Putin, Mao, Xi and the rest of the gang.
Consumers and the market in general won't face the customer service on average. We can't expect the change to come from there.
My comment meant more that they should legally not be allowed to have a customer service that bad. Something like requiring at least X non-outsourced employees working on call centers for every Y customers the company serves. I'm pretty confident nowadays most companies don't even have a single one.
a key Achilles’ heel was its basically non-existent customer service and unwillingness to ever engage constructively with users the company fucks over. At the time, I dubbed it Google’s “big, faceless, white monolith” problem, because that’s how it appears to many customers.
Hey, sounds like pretty much every corporation in 2023!
I hate so fucking much how little customer service companies are allowed to have.
Yeah “faithful” isn’t what I would call it but your comment is a huge exaggeration and I hope you know that. I’d struggle to find western adaptations that change less stuff than what the OP LA did.
The thing is even if it does go experimental, I don’t think it would change much. Even now, they aren’t administering it like candy.
And about bones, doesn’t the study say this?
GnRHa treatment delays bone maturation and bone mineral density gain that, however, seem to partially recover during cross-sex hormone therapy when studied at age 22 years.
If it’s only a “delay”, which doesn’t even need the hormone treatment to stop for it to partially recover, doesn’t that mean it’s reversible?
Honestly, I’m guessing the majority of Democrat voters nowadays aren’t voting Biden because of who he is, but because of who he isn’t. Any other person that isn’t a direct threat to democracy would probably be enough for them.
That being said, I’m not American and I don’t know who the other candidates could be: I know in 2020 Bernie could’ve done well but in 2024 he’ll be way too old.
It still doesn’t say it’s “a bad idea” like that commenter said, just that we don’t have sufficient proof to conclude that it’s 100% harmless.
There’s plenty of treatments we do that are not 100% safe, but we still employ them because the alternative is worse. The article is just encouraging more research, not for the practice to stop (It being considered “experimental” or “standard” barely matters as far as I know, since there’s a lot of assessments and tests to do before allowing someone to undergo hormonal therapy anyway).
Wait, what was the joke? I didn’t downvote but definitely got wooshed.
