This is far less difficult than you're trying to force it to be.

  • regulation of social media

What exactly does that look like? Mandated photos of government-issued IDs, or better yet, smartcards/RSA RealID for verifying access?

Here are some of my thoughts on this very thing from the other day.

I'd place this wager right now:

US internet providers will start having large 'outages' nationwide in the next 1-2 years, probably sooner. It'll be blamed on a cyberattack. Some massive leak will happen and cover 24/7 news channels for weeks. Shortly after that we'll start seeing legislature to block foreign access to government computers, via the Internet i.e. undersea cables, not via ISP-level firewalls and switches. Then that will slowly transform into us not being able to access foreign unapproved sites without submitting ID to some kind of safety system, and soon after that the frog will be boiled enough that they can firewall the US, just like China, Russia, North Korea are firewalled. It will trickle down to some sort of alliance of Western networked countries.

China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, etc control their populace very well by disallowing access by the majority to foreign unapproved websites. Western-run social media including YouTube is especially hard to access or filtered heavily. We're extremely vulnerable to a propaganda attack of massive proportions (more than is already happening now) which could cause militia groups to legitimately go to war with the US Gov, allowing the budding alliance of NK/RU/CN/IR/ to attack us while our resources are overloaded

Bless the datahoarders. May the petabytes be with you.

  • There's a reason billionaires are building their doomsday bunkers there.

And probably why Maori culture survived as long as it has.

New Zealand, an island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, has no bordering countries. It lies over 1,500 km east of Australia across the Tasman Sea, with the Pacific Ocean stretching indefinitely to the north, east, and south. The total land area of the country encompasses approximately 268,021 km2 (103,483 mi2).

  • Letterman's pinky looks like it has a chunk taken out and a slice through it, woman in the back looks like her mechanical fork is holding a computer mouse, and the kid on the left looks like he has a nubby growth on his middle finger with his thumb morphing into his ring finger. Also didn't think Letterman was crosseyed.

But from the amount of jpg compression I figured it had to be re-saved about 100 times over by now. Shit's old.

  • Your doctor is doing doctor things while the RNs are performing their functions? I'm shocked.

But if you want a better experience, find a good small non-chain urgent care office in a subsurb that doesn't take insurance. You'll pay more and get the experience you want, in my experience. But the RN is still going to come in first and perform their functions for a minute before the doctor comes in 5 minutes later.

  • The truly rich shareholder billionaires that could affect the price, not the measly millionaires, have their own chartered personal business jets. 20 mil can get you a starter jet that runs well, say 1m/year for pilot, copilot, and crew to be on call 24/7. Fuel expenses and runway time, all in all its cheap for them. The ones that want a brand new jet are spending a 60-100mm.

No billionaire cares more about their non-existant demon tube travel than the profits. If they're selling or shorting Boeing shares, it's because of the public outrage, not their own fear of personal safety.

  • I don't know if this counts but it's the closest I've been to death.

I had an accidental breakthrough on DMT. I don't even remember what happened during that 12 minutes except brief things that came to me in daydreams and night dreams afterwards. But before I did it, I was suicidal and ready to die. When my consciousness came back I was no longer the same person. I felt like I had just lived 1,000 years. I immediately felt like the world was no longer on my shoulders, and I involuntary started screaming about how much love there is in the universe. Before that, I had struggled with the concept of unconditional love. I used to have daily suicidal ideation, typically multiple times daily, but I have only experienced ideation a few times since then. Over a decade ago.

At one point in time I was inundated with death. Due to the fentanyl epidemic and other mental health and drug related issues, I've watched many friends die. Thankfully I'm in a much better place now, I'm no longer in that place I was hiding from myself before that day. Whatever death is, whatever reality is, I no longer fear it. I fear not being able to provide for my wife and children after I'm gone, but that's it.

To answer the accidental breakthrough question before it comes up: I was sniffing DMT fumurate (nasally active) at doses around 20-50mg, walking around my house, looking at the static dewwy webs of light, walking over them, under them, trying to hold them. I was so intrigued by the lack of movement of the visuals, where with other psychedelics you can blink or shift your eyes and it goes away. I did a few larger lines in a row and my vision started to bend and fold in on itself and I instinctually laid down in my bed.

  • Condolences for your friend.

That's how I cry, when I do cry. I can't help it. I hardly ever cry though I'd like to be able more because it's such a strong catharsis, but when I do it's like a very deep voiced whale trying to make air bubbles over and over. "Awhuuoooo oo oo oo aahhuuuooooo"

It usually only happens when there's a severe loss, my body takes control from my brain, accepts defeat, and starts wailing.

Coincidentally I had a cry a few days ago watching this: https://youtube.com/shorts/ixouwqK4_Ls - so many emotions piled into one scene, it's overwhelming.
