my take is that the rules are there to facilitate stories and gameplay, because most people are absolutely horrible at making it fun on their own.
it's just like playing minecraft, most people want survival mode so there's some mechanical impetus to do things, you don't generally end up with memorable moments on a creative server (you do end up with lots of neat art, however).
my point is why the fuck would one need any sort of gpt-like thing? are we seriously already at the point where people feel that is a necessary thing in daily life?
"it's not working right" is conversely a terrible position to be in, you can't leave it as it is but you also risk fucking it up further by trying to fix it
it doesn't seem that difficult to make tbh, although somewhat expensive
a replica/toy revolver, single board computer, display module, and spool of copper wire to wind around the revolver's.. magazine? clip? clipazine?
