I'd recommend trying fedora/nobara(derivative of fedora focused on gaming) it's widely supported cuz it's one of the big 3 distris but with much newer packages than Debian but your not getting all the new software the moment it drops like Arch so it's more stable, they're very solid distris and automatically support snapshots(they allow you to rollback to previous file states for the entire system without taking up a tonn of memory if you somehow fuck your system). I, at least never had a problem gaming on them and found them to be ideal all-rounders in general
As for running executables you may need to modify permissions with the chroot command, additionally you may need to sudo to run it
Home Owners Association (group that implements rules for homeowners in a neighborhood like what colour you can paint your house or what you can plant in the garden), and Content Warning
I think emulating twitter was a huge mistake for mastadon, the twitter reply structure that makes it difficult to have a long conversation with multiple people to be the main part of the post but ideal for "dunks" and outrage farming. I think the Tumblr reblog structure would have been an infinitly better choice for the more actual socialising thing fediverse is going for and a small user base that isnt producing much content and can re-circulate older posts. also it's less image-centric allowing more posts to be stored on a server, additionally (intuitively, I haven't thought about implementation that hard) it seems like a much more natural fit for federation.
Straight = heterosexual, Cis (short for cisgender) = someone who identifys with the gender assigned to them at birth i.e. anyone who is not transgender
Milk in tea is only universal for English/Irish breakfast tea(idk how popular they are outside wester Europe but in England/Ireland if someon says tea they mean breakfast tea and will specify otherwise)for something like chai or eal grey 1/3~(anicdotally) of people who drink it wouldn't have mik, and the milk isn't hot it's normally fridge-cold to room-temp the tea bag is steeped in just water, the point is to sweeten the rea and cool it down
It's because a native Japanese speaker it's likely to split an English word like lock into 2 syllables(and ad an oo sound to the end so the 2nd syllable has a vowel) resulting in "lo-ku" and there is no distinction between r and l in Japanese so it's also "ro-ku"
It's commonly used as a plot device in stories, and in my experience people will tell you about it as a way to "wake up" in the dream if you complain about nightmares and people I've spoken to IRL about it take it as accepted truth
I'd never heard of anyone else this happed to before! Less consequences for me but there was a ~4 year period of my life where at least once a week I'd have a dream wherei just got up and went through a normal day from 8:00 to like 11:00 or as late as like 16:00 sometimes. For example in the dream I would wake up, go to the gym, hang out with my friends as normal and then I would wake up and have to do the whole day again, but sometimes I thought the dream had been real and would brace myself to deal with leftover arguments or jobs from the dream
The only tell I ever noticed was that people were way meaner in the dream
Tbh I think you are overestimating the disruption, lots people do already buy washing powder in cardboard boxes(it's also a better product BC you buy it in bigger volumes and you can measure out the exact right amount for your machine and water hardness), picking your fruit from a loose box in the supermarket and putting into your shopping cart in a paper bag or a bag you bring yourself is also super normal, why would you have to make your own yougert? Why would you need to go to a creamry for cream rather than use the supermarket glass bottle return scheme used for milk? I feel like I should note that there a lot of food-safe resins and waxes that can liquid-proof containers that aren't actualy prohibitively expensive but a bit more expensive and currently less widely produced than plastics. But considering what we're doing to the planet that sacrifice is negligable
Yeah the pre-portioned and plated ready meals you buy from the fridge section would probably stop being thing, but there also food-bar things that serve a very similar product
Obviously life would change a bit and it wouldn't be painless but I really think people overestimate it and something absolutely has to change
Not claiming this makes sense, but(in traditional Christian belif) Jesus is not a distinct entity from God.
God is one being made up of:
the father(the being you are refering to as Christian god in your comment),
the son(jesus, who is gods humansona but the father does not stop existing when Jesus mode is active, and Jesus has always exsisted i.e.he wasn't created when he was born, and will always exist)
and the holy spirit (god's spiritual power or force e.g in an exorcism it's the holy spirit that actually casts the deamon out ).
these are all 'aspects' of a single being, to reference St.Patrick its like how a shamrock has 3 leaves but they make up one plant
