Complaining that a literal PC in your pocket, that can connect to the worlds collective knowledge, talk to people around the globe instantly and do a ton of other shit, only lasts 2 days on battery is just hilarious.

Feels like my dad telling me gas was 5c a gallon back in his day.

Secondly, Russia is no longer Socialist since the fall of the Soviet Union, I don't speak Korean and don't even think I can move to the DPRK even if I wanted to. I'd be down to move to China for a few years, but I have family where I am. You stated asking for donations isn't free labor. Lemmy is FOSS, it's free, donations are a common part for funding FOSS projects.

When it's required to fund the development because the developers don't operate without any other income... then it steps into the boundaries of not free. I have no issues donating to FOSS projects, do it all the time. I have issues with devs using the platform to spread propaganda and then ask for money to survive.

The amount of games on the PC is way to large to be buying right away.

I'm in the south, and I have friends who work for these companies and even run their own. There is a difference if you're not licensed though, but even then they're not making just $15 or less an hour.

Where are you in the US that plumbers and construction get paid less than most fast food places? I'm in a red and rural area and plumbers here are pulling in 90-100k starting and construction is starting around $25 an hour now. Trade skills make money.
