  • A gun can be used in defense. I don't understand the want to remove the one thing that gives you a chance at survival, while a literal fascist is in power right now....one that just built a concentration camp and sells merchandise to it like it's funny...guns are dangerous, but they're the only thing that equalizes everyone when force comes into play.

  • You can buy a car at any age, with no insurance or license, drive it without on private land, and it can cross into any state in the nation.

You also cannot buy military hardware in 10 mins at your local store. All rifles in the USA that you purchase without a form 1 and a boat load of cash are bolt action or semi-auto. You cannot go to the store and buy a fully automatic or burst action rifle or handgun. I don't know where you got your info from but it's way way wrong.

Size of magazines also are a completely pointless exercise. Swapping a mag is a 1/2 second process, and with practice can get it down to even quicker.

  • This is the correct answer....tons of degrees are worth less than the paper they're printed on. College has become a grown up playground for many people. Probably 50% of the people who go, probably shouldn't and should have went to trade schools to learn something that's useful vs getting a degree in management.

  • The problem is, that it's either a system with checks or you get a system with no checks and potential fraud.

This would still be anonymous, you vote, it prints out a ticket number just for you not assigned to anyone but the votes that have been cast. You walk out of the voting booth with a ticket that has a number assigned to the votes nothing more.

  • All votes really need a numbered receipt, like a tracking number, that shows what that number voted for, and then posted publicly. This way if you think you're vote was changed you can go and look online to see if it matches how you voted...but doubt this would ever be put in place.

  • You're joking right? We literally have a felon in the Whitehouse...shit tons of these assholes broke the law and then the turnip got into power and has pardoned them. Biden drug his feet and shit never got done. So they end up getting pardoned before any real consequences happened.

And now you have an actual president saying they're going to jail people based on political affiliation...

  • They need to bring back demos. It would help a ton if they did, but it seems so many companies and devs just completely skip the idea. I think some of it has to do with companies who kinda know their games aren't going to be worth a fuck so they want people to buy at full price, so they're not going to release a demo. Same with not releasing the game to reviewers early.

  • Yea but you're still finding connections outside of LinkedIn. People join LinkedIn and expect that it's some great recruiting platform, when it's just turned into a massive social media circle jerk again.

  • Stay off LinkedIn. It's nothing but Facebook for people to act like they're CEOs. It's literally filled with people who are either working some basic job or not working at all or are some grifter. It's a worthless site. Use job sites and find companies that look like you would enjoy working for them. Then apply and bug them for an internship. Once you get your foot into the industry, start networking with colleagues to jump to the next opportunity and just keep doing that until you find a company and people you like to work with that pays enough that you'll stay a while. Also if you're going to school ask your professors and classmates if they know of any opportunities that you could do for your field. It's a lot of shitty ground work for a few years but once you establish yourself it'll get much easier to land new positions and better pay.
