This is why companies like Nintendo need to exist. Fun for the family is really awesome and I’m glad your son was able to share such a “wonder” of a game with you!

All the YouTubers and companies engage in SEO and sanitize the content until it’s ad friendly. I just wish it was human friendly like what made them big in the first place

If they successfully stop Adblocking I’m going all in on Odyssee and Peertube. I’ve been slowly migrating already anyway

Palworld was on game pass so I gave it a shot. It’s actually pretty fun for a simple time waster. After this run I don’t think ill ever play it again unless they work in a really good story mode

That game really captures a sense of lethality I haven’t felt since Ninja Gaiden 1/2 on the Xbox/360. Amazing

Make sure to do all three endings. The story is deceptively pretty decent. You feel like a real badass by the end

Sometimes a nice little experience is good times. Doesn’t always have to be an all out blockbuster or emotional rollercoaster.

Microsoft concerns me greatly, but they seem to be in transition to primarily software/cloud based tech.

I’ll sign the petition while not getting hopes up, but this is the iteration of Microsoft most likely to pull such a crazy move

I made the switch a few days ago too and I’m already loving it. The people saying sort by all and subscribe/block as needed are on the money, really easy to curate a selection of good stuff. Content and engagement is more organic here it seems.

Agree 100%. Enforcement against weed was more harmful than the drug.

So in practice I believe a person should be allowed to gamble within reason. That being said the gambling business seems built on exploiting the end user and enabling/proliferating addiction.

I’m hoping it settles down like legal weed did. It will always have the client base but the newness will wear off hopefully.

The biggest problem I have with “smart tv”s is the fact that nearly ALL of them lag to some extent. Doesn’t matter if it’s a remote press, switching an input, even turning the thing off has some amount of delay.

I like at least some topic discussion points for the community to interact with. Sometimes it seems like a post is just a cross reference to a Reddit post. The organic Lemmy content reminds me of the old Reddit days and brings me joy
