Atom was a lot less responsive and generally laggier than VSCode though. I used to use Atom and was surprised how much more responsive VSCode was.

It's literally a kid's movie. I loved this when I was a baby.

I'm curious what witchcraft Microsoft did with VSCode to make it so responsive and performant when no other electron app is.

For phones available in the US, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro do 18W and 23W wireless charging respectively when using the Pixel Stand 2. I don't really see why you would want to do more when wireless charging is so inefficient and thus generates so much heat. Every high powered wireless charger needs fans to keep both the charger and phone cool enough during charging. Even wired charging can start making a phone heat up quickly above 20W, though PPS chargers that can vary the voltage on the fly have helped improve that situation a lot.

I've been using USB-C on all my phones and most laptops since 2015. One of the phones I used for 4 years and plugged in multiple times per day, and I've never had a USB-C port fail.

I feel like he would be better in F1TV. They tend to have much more technical commentary.

Yeah, I love Arch for the same reasons. Try installing it in a VM and using it a bit, and you'll see that it's quite an easy OS to use now.

You can also just do systemctl enable paccache.timer to automatically run paccache once a week.

You can use yay -Sc to clean the cache. It'll also ask you if you want to clean the pacman cache, which I'm assuming you also haven't cleaned (check the size of /var/cache/pacman).

Pacman's cache isn't in ~/.cache though, it's in /var/cache. So whatever is taking up this much space isn't the package manager.

That being said, I think the arch devs should add a config option to automatically delete old packages without having to run paccache manually and have it default to the last 2 versions of a package or so. It can grow quite big over time.

Did you happen to see which subdirectory was using up this much space? I don't think I've ever seen .cache go above 10GB, so this may be a bug in a piece of software you use.
