  • The whole point of that temporary pier was because Biden was unwilling to pressure Netanyahu to open any of the gates into Gaza, so sea deliveries was a way around him. It delayed aid for months, and it was eventually destroyed in a storm. And then Biden let Israeli military use it for raids and it then became a military target.

It was a failure. A policy failure through and through.

  • It’s an odd kind of projection on their part. They were upset that their beloved candidate was getting attacked and told us to put our pain aside and shut up and fall in line. They were mad that their beloved candidate got protests because they betrayed their own constituents, asking “why aren’t you protesting Trump?” when many of us protested both when they were in office.

They’re just sour because Biden/Harris had nothing to show for their failed policy and don’t want us to remember the promises they broke during both campaigns.

  • Put the rhetoric aside, and the answer is yes. Israel stole a lot of land from Palestinians under both Democratic and Republican presidents and kept them under an oppressive apartheid system depriving them of their rights. Both parties vetoed UN resolutions to stop or even condemn the practice.

The Israeli government proposed annexing the West Bank in violation of international law, and while one president said he disagreed with the idea, he said he’d back Israel if they did. The other one said he’d support the idea and back Israel either way. Putting aside the rhetoric or intentions, the action is the same. That’s why Palestinians aren’t cheering when one party wins over another in US elections, because they saw what happened when republicans or democrats won; their situation didn’t change. If you feel otherwise, go visit and talk to them like I did.

  • Biden/Harris trying everything they could to circumvent the blockade to get supplies into Gaza

What a bold lie. Biden vetoed UN votes to stop the blockade. He defended the Israeli military shooting unarmed Palestinians who approached the blockade and approved of Israel blocking the investigations of the deaths of NGO workers.

You could argue Biden was more in favor of peace than Trump is, but in practice he didn’t differ from Trump’s previous term on Israel. His record is clear.

  • We’re not talking about disagreements over sports teams, Musk is using people’s money to scam a ton of people and influence elections by pushing extremists into government and openly break laws. He’s a malignant individual.

  • That’s really a matter of opinion. I love CarPlay and prefer it to Tesla’s screen. The voice recognition is just not as good and fails most of the time when I ask it to dial or send a text message. It lacks WhatsApp integration, and my favorite podcast app just doesn’t work with Tesla’s system and never will.

Hyundai feels more comfortable both in seats and interface; I prefer actual buttons rather than trying to scroll through menus at high speed to turn on and off car features. Non-round steering wheels and lack of turn stalks should be banned for safety. I feel safer glancing at a speedometer in front of me rather than glancing away from the road so often. And Hyundai Ioniq cars have much better self driving on highway compared to what Tesla has, as Tesla keeps nearly clipping trucks or going out of lanes forcing me to take over far too often. I even like the auto park features.

But this really is a matter of opinion and preference.

  • This is the best preventative measure they can do for now. Musk and other actors can dump massive amounts of money into elections to sway them and many of these democracies haven’t been challenged from outside like this before.

  • during the days of Stalin in communist Russia, one of the most popular proverbs was “Comrade Stalin, there has been a terrible mistake!”

It’s a mock quote by people being rounded off to the gulag (the Russian concentration camps) who considered themselves patriots, true worshippers of Dear Leader, who engaged in snitching against their neighbors, personal rivals and even family members to see them taken away to concentration camps, while being certain that this behavior will earn them the state’s loyalty and safeguard them against repressions. When the Black Mariahs came for them (called Black Crows in Russia), they would often be heard crying out “Dear comrade Stalin, there has been a terrible mistake!”

  • This simply won’t end here. RFK wanted vaccines pulled off the market. (He may put on a show during his confirmation and lie and pretend now he loves them though)

Antivaxxers have spent the last 4 years claiming that vaccines cause people to “shed” vaccine particles or spike proteins. They’re blaming miscarriages, autism, and actual covid on this mythical shedding and some have tried to ban vaccinated people from businesses and homes. They’ll try to ban vaccines to stop this delusion.

  • How many sanctions do you expect from Trump?

That’s a ridiculous question. A person who leaves a penny as a tip did give more than a person who left no tip at all, but you’re mad that they aren’t being praised for that penny? Or are you arguing that a penny is significant? Sanctioning just 7 people while continuing to arm and fund hundreds of thousands of illegal settlers who are openly committing violence and obstructing peace is useless and frankly more insulting than any actual help.

We all know Trump is bad. We lived through it. I was in Palestine while Trump was in office. It was grim. But if Netanyahu had decided to actually go through with his cabinet’s open talk of cleaning out Gaza, Biden would have publicly defended him and gone along with it, because he refused to ever criticize Netanyahu in public. Obama actually proposed meaningful sanctions on Israelis and Biden privately argued against them and as VP he publicly undermined Obama on the issue. That’s not an appreciable improvement over Trump who just says the bigoted and extreme stuff out loud and is functionally the same.
