The NRA refused to support Philandro Castile who was shot for legally owning a firearm. Their spokesperson said on one of the Meet the Press style shows that the NRA has a lot of cops as members and they don’t want to upset them by supporting a black guy shot by cops.

The Christian Right wants to make Christianity supreme and use it as the basis to take away rights of minorities including Muslims and LGBT. They want this as cover to take away sex ed and ban pornography and rap music and a long list of other stuff. Project 2025 laid it out pretty explicitly.
People don’t really know what to do, except save money, cut back on disposable spending, and watch carefully. Maybe buy some big things early like a laptop or EV now rather than wait for the shock. The big problems are a few weeks to months away.
