Doctor here who has referred patients for transplant. No. You must be six months sober to be eligible for the transplant list. There’s so few livers to go around, they need to be sure the recipient isn’t going to just break the next one.

It’s rare to suddenly need a liver; they usually take months to fail and this gives the patient and doctor months of notice to try treating the failure first (including lifestyle changes and meds) before getting sick enough to go apply for a transplant.

It’s only a problem if a Democrat is in charge, as soon as a Republican takes over it’s a perfect world under their leader.

And yet he howled that the police disrespected him and Giuliani during the raids and arrests. Hypocrite.

That’s not necessarily love for Palestinians, it’s more like anger against the Israeli far right.

Not at all. Iraq’s broken economy is due to Bush trying to force Iraqi economy to privatize after 2003. Iraq made a trade deal with Iran that they bragged would be very lucrative for both countries. It’s not warfare like you called it.

Complaining about Iran having too much influence in Iraq is like complaining that the Vatican has too much influence in Ireland.

Iraq is not the same as Iran. While the countries now have close economic ties, Iraqi politicians have bo interest in changing Iraq’s government to copy Iran’s.

Trump is like Michael Scott at the shareholder meeting (on The Office US version). He loves applause so much that he goes dramatically off script and starts making wild promises that get the crowd into a frenzy. “Triple our profits! Carbon-neutral in a year!”

Trump does the same. He promises MORE healthcare for LESS taxes and the crowd loves it. He says he will win all the wars and do them QUICKLY. He gets into office and can’t deliver, so instead he lies about the “hundreds of miles of wall” he built when he didn’t, or pivots to those “evil democrats” stopping him.

“They did their job correctly this time” doesn’t erase a lifetime of them failing to do so. For every professional example like this I see many more that do the opposite.

My university had a problem of students bringing their own WiFi routers before the dorms had WiFi. Students would set them up incorrectly and cause a series of problems with colliding DHCP servers and interference and it would cause outages for nearby wired students.
