From what I’ve read in the past, state law actually prohibits TxDOT from spending money on anything but roads and car-based infrastructure. I don’t know if it’s true, but apparently there’s quite a few that would love to approve more rail projects but their hands are tied by state law.
Valhalla is oozing with personality. It’s freakin’ huge, beating out the amount of content in Odyssey. It’s not all great content, but it isn’t terrible. Even the DLC is huge.
Meanwhile, Ken Paxton has sued the city of Austin for ‘misleading’ people when it comes to the voter-approved light rail transit expansion. Oh, and TxDOT is widening I-35 through downtown Austin despite countless folks protesting and some organizations suing them to stop it.
Transit across the state SUCKS. Bike lanes are never properly separated. Light rail is sparse. Busses literally everywhere suck.
Sort of. I have a desktop that I use for games, and a handheld PC (the Lenovo Legion Go) for… games, and a phone that I use for lurking on the fediverse.
I work 8:00 to 4:30 with a half-hour lunch break. Frequently I’ll put in a few extra hours in a week for some overtime ‘cause the job isn’t hard at all.
Yes, science is about finding the truth, but we should relish the chance to challenge it. If it holds up, that only strengthens the argument for it. If it doesn’t, everyone learned something new.
