A corporation's apologies should never be taken seriously. If they consciously break regulations in order to make money, there must be punitive fines, if not prison. Otherwise you're just creating a system where executives will try and calculate how much bullshit they can get away with.

If Ukraine falls, the plan B is securing the land connection between Poland and the Baltics from a potential offensive coming from Belarus, and cutting Kaliningrad from Russia-Belarus. Conversely, Russia's plan is establishing a land connection to Kaliningrad and cutting the Baltics, although now that Finland has joined NATO, it isn't that much of an useful goal for them anymore.

All in all, a direct Russia-NATO war is extremely unlikely, unless there are extreme geopolitical realignments in the EU.

Do take note that Biden's proposal from yesterday was supposedly drafted at Netanyahu's cabinet, according to the US government itself. Even if there's a legal text that enforces providing aid to Israel, there's also legal text forbidding it. If the executive can't solve the contradiction of different laws forcing them to do one thing and its opposite, simultaneously respecting both, they're at a position where they can choose which side they want to give priority to.

If "God" is indistinguishable from the natural world, unable to be differentiated from it, to formulate or express thoughts or to influence existence in any way, it is a redundant idea, a zero to the left, and something so alienated from what the vast majority of people consider God is, that the meaning of the concept has already been twisted. It doesn't deserve epistemological effort, because our understanding of the world wouldn't change one bit: rather than it being a wilful intelligence, it would be a carcass over which we happen to live in, which the Universe already is. Even if you were to prove the existence of such a devoid concept, it would be equal to asserting "The Universe exists".

The other day, at the libertarian convention, some MAGA hats went and harassed other participants who were calling Trump authoritarian. It's amazing how they'll just go and take denunciations of their nature as a challenge to enact it, unable to see that they're actually harming themselves.

Depends on the country. A few years ago, there was a heat wave that provoked over 10 deaths in France, while Spain barely registered any despite suffering even harsher temperatures. This is because most homes in Spain have AC, but French ones usually don't. I would expect this to change in the following decade.
