  • and I am Indian. We mak up wards as we goo ;)

edit: I am making fun of my own kind. It's a joke, I am not justifying bad spelling and everything. You know American English and UK English differs sometimes in spelling and pronunciation, I was like, yeah, I can call something Indian English and pronounce Cat as Dog, if for nothing else just to piss people off. Again, we must have a language we all agree on to communicate with and this was just a freaking joke, and I resent for having to explain it.

  • that's the last thing you can trust rn. Scientific consensus. But that's getting out of hand too. Corporations funding research that shows them in a positive light, perverse incentives for some streams of science and media misrepresentation of facts are concerning.

  • thank you for looking out for us brownies out there, but unfortunately no, most of the scammers are in India and Nigeria (two developing countries). Indian people are not to blame 100% but we are not doing anything at all to stop this shit, trust me once you see how rotten the system is here, you will understand how the government and law enforcement are not taking action against this.

I mean, of c the economy, lack of jobs and knowledge of English language have made them fertile soil for these types of scam camps.

  • As an Indian, I would like to congratulate everyone here, you tax returns are here, but there is a spelling mistake in your name and it would take $5000 to correct it, please call 1800420SCAM to get your refund.

bad jokes aside, these are the scum of the country and I am sorry for this shit.

  • well, this I can agree with. I asked that question because I had heard that lemmy was like a leftist dictatorship and anything that didn't agree with lemmy mods was removed but that wasn't my experience

  • where did you find over moderation? I have been over here for a while now and never found over moderation. Admittedly I am not active in any communities other than asklemmy and linux.

  • Trying to convince someone that chose no.3? Your only hope is to make them understand that they cannot understand, a very very hard task.

that's rather depressing isn't it. I trust the scientists but when politics gets mixed into science, it's hard to know who is lying and who's not.
