The media has been awful when it comes to Trump and letting him set and control the conversation. He has made it so normal just to lie without pushback. I could understand to some extent why listing a platform feels pointless.
It is crazy how it took criticism for this to even happen. Someone you're voting for should be able to list what their actual platform and agenda is. It helps to have it for record if you actually plan to attempt to hold these people in power accountable and not be on some weird parasocial worshiping stuff.
People can't ever look past whatever threat we're facing. If you're always the person compromising, you'll never get to stand for anything. Even a big tent should have limits like Dick Cheney but if you say that someone call it purity test.
I've seen some places basically wanting to revamp company town aspects by having teachers living on school grounds. Which would be terrible. Teachers deserve better pay.
I've always seen it how can you lose votes that were never yours. Green Voters aren't Dems so they aren't losing anything. Same with Libertarian voters aren't the GOP. Not to mention Harris self said "I want to earn support." Then made her intentions pretty clear where she stands currently on Gaza and other issues. It is on her.
This is why I don't like the push of everything needing an app. I sure do wish people in congress cared about this type of privacy issues the way they did Tiktok.
I do think there should be a bigger effort for local efforts for third parties. But I get it fundraising and funding doesn't appear of thin air.
I live in a state that Trump is projected to win. I don't see how me voting for Harris a person I can't influence at all and Liberals won't push left and is hostile towards protesters is not considered a waste. But If I were to vote for Jill Stein that is considered a waste. When it would lead to possibly being closer to 5% for funding for the party. Liberals see groups as expendable and there is never any plans post Trump. It is just back to brunch.
They aren't kneecapping Dems. Dems do it themselves, not delivering for working class/poor people. I don't see it as Dems losing out on votes. They never had those votes to begin with. Greens would just not vote at all. Idk where the idea of so much overlap comes from.
She is correct on AOC. AOC's point about Greens needing to reach a wider audience is fair. That is also hard to do when you get no coverage and don't have a donor class of billionaires behind you. I have no issue with Greens running for Presidency, since there is no real overlap with Dem and Green voters. If Green options weren't there, you still wouldn't be getting the vote for Dems. They just wouldn't vote at all.
I'll never get over people comparing this man to Tony Stark.
