This comment thread was a wild ride. I've never seen anyone cope this hard before. You know it's not a competition, right?

WarmSoda is just a contrarian. I've literally seen them argue two sides of an argument across different posts. I wouldn't recommend seriously engaging with them, but they're not very bright so it's funny to get them to contradict themselves or make comically bad arguments.

I dunno, are tankies even this stupid? Tankies at least typically know that liberal≠progressive. This sounds like an American libertarian, aka "the edgy conversative", to me.

I finally understand what some users must feel about the Linux posts when I decided I was tired of seeing fang moe, cyber moe, cozy moe, coffee moe, sword moe, and other seemingly endless permutations on the *moe theme. Blocking one community seems to result in two taking its place, like some kind of hydra moe.

My wife and I had just moved and were living in my relative's field in a 5th wheel while we arranged to have a house built. The pandemic hit and construction immediately stopped, so we continued living in that 5th wheel for another six months. The two of us, a dog, and three cats. I shockingly didn't get laid off but didn't have any work to do, so I just slept and played video games.

We bought a house in June, at the very bottom of our market. We couldn't afford our house now, even if interest rates were still super low. We definitely couldn't afford to build the house we could have afforded to build in early 2020, despite making nearly twice as much as when we first moved here. Fuck this economy.

Anyhow... We moved in, then the whole west coast lit on fire. The skies were dark purple some days. It was wild. I still didn't have much to do at work, so video games and naps it was. I found a half face respirator and a cache of P100 filter cartridges while unpacking, so I got to go around feeling invincible for the rest of the pandemic. That was nice.

Pretty sure this meme refers to when someone finds the slightest, most irrelevant technicality so they can say you're wrong. You're just straight up incorrect here in a way that's directly applicable to the thread. There's nothing wrong with that, everyone gets shit wrong.

I read your comment and it reminded me of something, but I just couldn't put my finger on it. It took me a few minutes, then it dawned on me: it was my drunk Trumper uncle at Thanksgiving dinner. He was telling us how the "Mexicans and Blacks" are sabotaging "White Christianity™" by crossing the border and interbreeding with white women and that our telling him to shut up and go home was the real intolerance

Tl;dr: dumb people often blame everyone else for any consequences of their failure to recognize they're dumb.

Whenever there's any question, I usually open with "sup, dogs" in my most serious voice, then continue to deadpan refer to everyone as dog, such as "and you, dog, I need to check the grist mill, thank you dog". Fifteen years in and no complaints so far.

It's worth it. The cost is ultimately much lower and the experience is leagues better.

Don't forget that if you ever do some heinous shit, everything you have done or ever will do is equally bad or worse. Your only ethical choice is to crawl under a porch and die.
