  • Bewarned that the mobile Firefox app is really not great.

    • I am a chronic tab-user (I have more than a hundred open right now. Yes I'm using pretty much all of them.) and 70% of the time when hitting the tab button it doesn't actually scroll to the most recent tab. I have to tap it repeatedly to get to where I was.
    • The tab list is horribly wasteful when it comes to space and I see no way to change it.
    • Some sites also shit the bed completely when auto-filling from my password manager. Like full on freeze the browser or crash it entirely.
    • When an app opens Firefox in an embedded browser to get you to log in, it will pretty much never direct you back to the app after putting your information in. You have to tap the three dots and open it in the actual app for even a chance that it will properly redirect you.
    • For 2fa sometimes this doesn't even work. I have to scan my 2fa key then quickly open it in the actual app through the menu before it finishes loading, otherwise it doesn't redirect or gets stuck in a login loop. Fun.

The browser is fine overall, don't get me wrong, there's just some inconveniences that aren't getting fixed.

  • Actually it's easier to pay hospital bills when you're poor. You either go to a non-profit hospital and ask for charity, where they'll wipe your bill clean if you make too little, or you just don't pay the bill. What's bankruptcy if you're too poor to have credit anyways?

  • If you have a masters and 20 years of experience, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a job that has the health insurance to pay for all of that. If you don't, then you need a new job

  • Gen z is notoriously tech illiterate for anything but the bare minimum. The amount that have never touched a PC or anything other than an iPhone is incredibly disturbing.

  • Vape is just propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine, both food safe, with typical food flavoring additives

  • That's not true. I did it for fun. I'm just gay, not trans.

  • I did this as a teenager for fun. I'm not trans. I'm gay. Foh

  • Dunno, I've managed just fine 👀

  • Unaddressed is a bit harsh. Maybe not fully addressed to how we would like, but measures have been attempted in the last quarter century

  • Rust used to be correct in 2014 when this was made. It's pretty fucking good, now

  • I'm a pretty senior dev and have chat gpt open for quick searches. It's great for helping me figure out what to Google in the cases where I can't think of the name of a pattern or type I'm looking for. It also helps quite a bit with learning about obscure functions and keywords in SQL that I can do more research on

Hell, I use Copilot daily. Its auto complete is top-tier

  • Bruh almost like the internet is just reposts crazy

  • See the thing is I'm fine with it because I know my parents wouldn't have spied on me 24/7. If they were helicopter parents and DID check where I was every hour of the day I wouldn't be fine with it.

  • And for most people it's fine. This unfortunate person had a heart condition. If you have a medical problem you had better know what you are and aren't allowed to do. People with allergies don't sue jiffy for selling peanut butter

  • Then look at the label and see that it says its caffeine content, as well as comparing it to coffee

Like, other than not selling it at all, there's not much else they could've done here

  • If you have a heart condition that limits your caffeine intake, you had better know how much you can consume.

  • Clearly you have no sense for nuance. Not everything anyone disagrees with is siding with genocide and oppression just because they disagree. It's concerning that that's immediately what you assumed.
