  • Not necessarily, but also government spends an inordinate amount of money on extra processes and moves much slower, which could naturally lead to fewer accidents because they're just doing less, and also the government outsources quite a lot of labor which could include the more accident-prone aspects

  • It's greedy when it goes from "please tip I need money to make a living wage" to "don't get rid of tipping, I make 80k a year from it." Just get paid normally like the rest of us. Forced tipping is a scam.

  • You're either intentionally being obtuse or are just plain stupid. Customers SHOULDNT be in a position of being forced to tip or be ashamed for normal acitivitues. Absolutely required tipping should not be a thing. It should be optional. It doesn't matter what the current culture is, because that's not the conversation. That's the point.

  • These numbers mean nothing without a reference to compare with other similar industries. The article does include a number from other rocket manufacturers(?), though I'd be curious to see how it compares to other private companies, not, like, nasa, haha

  • Uh. There are plenty of things that tons of people know about, and plenty of things that only one country is aware of. You'll never know until you ask.

    Quit being a cunt, dude.

  • I've been seeing it more regardless of group size. I went to a restauraunt alone and they had the audacity to charge a service fee and ask for a fucking tip

I wouldve tipped more than the service charge! So I gave nothing instead

  • It performs significantly better than existing formats what are you talking about

  • Dunno about "nobody." Tons of sites use it. Hell, Telegram uses it for stickers exclusively. We use it everywhere on my job's website

  • WebP is also great for doing animations with transparency on mobile. Transparent video is barely supported and gif is terrible. WebP is really the only option

  • I haven't seen a single browser that didn't support webp

  • TOML is my bestie

  • Uh, I mean, I can exchange BTC for USD all day, not sure why you're not able to

  • Remote work fixes that for many people

Source: me, hi, I work remotely to LA and get paid absurd wages

  • How do you even say it, what is its purpose, why does it matter? All of the possible ways I can think of pronouncing this sound absolutely stupid, same with fucking Latinx. There's no actual way to pronounce the fuckin word

  • I doubt you'll change my mind on this, but feel free to keep trying

You aren't just reading it. You're writing an entire-ass paper on the subject which would require actually understanding where the article is coming from in order to further extrapolate its opinion, otherwise you'd just be rewriting the article in its entirety which doesn't seem to be the goal of the assignment.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it

  • Oh sure, obviously people like cars, but in the cities we'd park and switch from car to rail because it's significantly faster. I also stayed in the city for a couple of weeks and didn't need a car at all.

Compare that to the US where you need a car or you die, even in the city, and it's not even a contest.

  • If you brought in dissenting opinions, then... That would just be a lesson on disproving articles, not actually learning how to understand opposing opinions.
