I recommend M1 for ease of use, but don't bother with their bank account. I use SoFi and Schwab for my investment accounts. Schwab only for treasuries.
Look, I'm pretty centrist and do my best to split my vote for both parties if policies align, but you can't ignore or handwave away the southern strategy. Republicans have been pandering to conservatives for decades.
Besides, many of their policies have been implemented. The change you say hasn't occured definitely has, just mostly at state levels. Obamacare is still pretty successful.

It can often take longer to get what you want out of it than it would've to have just drawn it. I've spent 8 or 9 hours fiddling with inputs and settings for a piece and it still didn't come out as good as it would have if I had commissioned an artist.

To be entirely fair the score isn't the only determining factor. My credit is around 690 with perfect payment history except for one delinquent student loan account from 6.5 years ago and I still get rejected for things that "should" only require a score of > 640.
It wasn't really a switch, more like both parties having an ideological shift. A switch implies they didn't change core beliefs at all and just flipped, when many of the beliefs of both parties changed.
