  • A dash cam was definitely one of the best purchases I've made. I was able to submit video to the insurance company to show a collision wasn't my fault. It has also captured some other random interesting events like an electrical transformer explosion during a storm.

    1. Nokia 5150 - My first phone. It featured swappable faceplates, great games like snake, and 1 week of battery life.
    2. Motorola V710 - Flip phone complete with crude internet browsing and GPS.
    3. LG G2x - My first real smart phone, running Android 2.3.
    4. Samsung Galaxy S4 - A significant upgrade, running Android 4 eventually upgrading to Android 5.
    5. OnePlus 2
    6. OnePlus 3T
    7. OnePlus 7T - I have been using this for 4 years now. I think it's finally time for an update.
    8. OnePlus 12?
  • How do I get started with Mastodon? Are there multiple instances to choose from like Lemmy, or do you just sign up on mastodon.social?

Also, it looks like you can access Lemmy communities from there - so how is it different than just using Lemmy?

  • In the 1970's Exxon not only knew about climate change due to the burning of their fossil fuels, they accurately predicted global warming projections. And studies by their internal scientists continued to predict and verify global warming in a bunch of reports between 1977 and 2003. Yet they still continued to lobby against renewable energy and admitted that they still aggressively fought climate change science.
