  • Old news. We knew this was coming weeks ago and there was a big thread about it on here.

  • Diablo 3 has great couch co-op. D4 has it too, but that game sucks. D3 is better, especially if it's still new to you.

  • they come with codes for virtual items as well.

Ooh, this is a great compromise. I like this idea!

  • IGN review said they tried it briefly and it worked fine, but no info about crossplay.

  • That would at least be headline-worthy!

  • I have Gamepass so I'm not paying for Starfield. :-D (I know I sound like a broken record, but Gamepass is easily my favorite subscription service that I pay for these days, when it comes to entertainment value per dollar.)

But yeah, getting AC6 first and waiting on Starfield instead is not a bad option if you don't have Gamepass. Starfield will only get better over time with patches and mod support. AC6 will probably not change significantly over time.

  • I'm not really concerned about the aggregate score. I'm sure it'll be a solid game. I'm just interested in the presumed flaws. Like any product, reading the details of the negative reviews is often far more revealing than the gushing reviews.

  • We call this "The Full Asmongold".

  • Oh right, I forgot that people insist on humoring that change. I feel like if everyone keeps just calling it Twitter, he'll just quietly change it back.

Regardless, X was used to represent a variable for about a thousand years longer than Musk has been using it, so I will keep using it that way too.

  • Interesting to read the less than stellar reviews. I might try to hold off on this one and grab it on sale later, especially with Starfield coming out soon.

  • I really hope the new AC is a return to form. The first one is still my favorite, though the Ezio chronicles were also really good. This new one looks like they're trying to get back to the feel of the original.

I doubt it will be anywhere near as good as AC1 or 2. This is modern Ubisoft we're talking about here. But I hope...

  • If I can play games at full quality without having to buy a $1000 graphics card every couple of years, I can see streaming catching on in my household. That's a pretty big "if" though...

I imagine being in other countries where gaming rigs are a much bigger deal, budget-wise, streaming will hold an even larger appeal. It's probably why the streaming thing is the holdup in Europe but the US regulators don't care.

  • I am pretty excited for it. I'm going to try to hold off on buying it though. I'm still working through BG3 and Starfield comes out a week after AC6. Then not too long after that, the Cyberpunk DLC drops and I'm REALLY excited for an excuse to replay that game. I also still haven't even started FF16.

I'm hoping that by the time I actually have time to play AC6, I can snag it on sale. There are so many amazing games coming out this month and next, it's a very exciting time to be a gamer!

  • Yeah it is unfortunate. But "hope for the best, expect the worst" serves me well in life and is particularly apt when it comes to video game launches.

  • First time trying a new game at launch?

Pro-tip: plann for queues and crashes for the first day at least.

Pro-tip #2: maybe read or watch a review before buying. That game looks terribad and reviews aren't particularly good.

  • This hits all the points pretty succinctly. Nice.

  • Same. And I grew up on Champions of Krynn and Eye of the Beholder and Pools of Radiance, so Baldur's Gate was mind blowing when it came out. BG2 was even better!

I haven't played a CRPG in a while. Never got into DoS series, etc. But there's no way I was missing BG3 after the rave reviews it was getting, considering my history with the series.

  • Hey, leave the accountants out of this! We count things, we don't set policy.

  • I'm with you there. I regret buying D4 and it'd probably the last Blizzard game I'll ever buy unless MS cleans house when they acquire them.
