I'm of the opinion that MLK Jr. was largely successful because folks saw the alternative was Malcolm X... and they still fought MLK Jr. tooth and nail.
One might be weirder then the other but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're a full on weirdo. I think a group has to get to 10-20 before we get someone close the edges on that bell curve.
Or calling the kids crotchspawn and wombfruit. Like bruh I get it, y'all ain't having kids, fair play, but there's no need for the weird slur nonsense.
Having been to the antinatalist subreddit back when I still visited the other place, I can say there were deffo some weird folks in there and that as a matter of statistics I could see one or two being that far gone. This also applied to most of the other anti-thing places there though, ex. Two million subscribers to r/atheism, that's two "one in a million" whackjobs.
Look its not difficult to understand okay. When the sun rises, that is God himself remembering that Donald J. Trump is our God King for life president and blessing us for it, and when it sets at night it is because Hillaries e-mails that are stored on Hunter's laptop by the Demoncrats radiate so much nascent evil that it temporarily forces the sun from the sky. This "rotation" stuff is all fake news.
Oh no, if they use expired drugs, people could die.
Really if they're so dedicated to the death penalty, why not just use a firing squad? A box of good bullets and one of blanks for individual plausible deniability can't be more then 20 bucks can it? Heck, get some Nitrous Oxide to knock the guy out before killing him even.
That said, I'm not for the death penalty, morally, logically, and economically its unsound.
Fictional characters are only as smart as their authors and any constraints placed on said authors by their publisher and the like. Hence why despite the abundance of intellect in comic book universes, universal basic income and healthcare don't exist, while crime and cancer still do.
edit: Fun story- One arc in Marvel a bunch of heroes and villains get magic moral reversals. One is Tony Stark. He sets up nanobots in San Fran to give people the bodies they've always wanted, then charges them a hundred bucks a day to keep it. The implication there is he could have done this for free or super cheap at any given time and just... didn't.
Beyond that... Imagine being a trans person and just being completely changed over or no longer being paralysed or growing back a lost eye or whatever. Bruh I'd be fist fighting Spidey to keep paying.
Anyhow they resolved it by like, blowing the planet up or something stupid like that. Comic books lol
He could become an Honorary Aryan under a "useful idiot" kind of deal, though really I think he'd probably be treated like the other African folks owing to the bipolar. He claims he was misdiagnosed bipolar, and instead has autism but in this hypothetical that wouldn't really help.
Maybe I want some tequila with my pizza. Maybe I like a set of toppings that never gets ordered at a pizza party. Maybe I want to hire a hooker to feed me the pizza. Wanting cash instead of pizza enables all of this and more.
Was that the same idealism that led to the jailbait and creepshot subreddits being allowed to flourish? Or Covid misinfo? Deepfakes? The chimpire? Qanon? All that stuff definitely wasn't operating clandestinely.
It's not impossible, but it is a far more difficult thing then they want to deal with to have an AI that consistently toes the conservative line, especially when that line can change wildly even in the span of a conversation. Egg prices are too high under Biden but we can't expect a president to magic them down under Trump. We should be able to have vouchers for religious schools but wait why are the muslims allowed to go to their madrasas? Of course I'd never work in a factory or buy overpriced American products but we should bring back production to the United States. The list goes on.
We're hittin the big time boys!
