Talked to an ex-CIA agent. She couldn't share any real secrets but did say that there are enough nukes on one submarine to destroy the entire world. The missiles also break apart into lots of other missiles. In other words, if they aren't shot down soon after launching, we're all fucked.
I figured it wouldn't be easy in core lemmy, but since apps like liftoff are already parsing that data, it might be easier. It's just one of the bigger annoyances of lemmy.
Not really related, but I did ring up some flowers at a self checkout but instead of flowers, it rang up as a rewards card. I did tell the cashier who didn't give a shit, then went outside and used that "rewards card" to get money off my gas. I think it came out to about $1 a gallon
I worked for a company that started manufacturing masks (the N95 ones) during the pandemic and we still make and sell masks. I won't be forgetting since I still work on the machines.
As a recovered addict, making it legal would effect the drug dealers and cartels much more than the users. This would remove some harm from society. I believe the larger solution is to provide help those that abuse it. Legalizing it on top of treatment instead of persecution would be optimal for most drugs, although meth is a hard sell (pun definitely intended).
Portugal did this. scientific paper about it overall the effects are positive from what over heard. (Haven't actually read that paper, but I didn't want to site a randomly googled news article.)
I really enjoy He Who Fights with Monsters it's a lit-rpg with the main character being Australian with lots of off the wall references, mostly to 80's TV shows.
THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!!
