Oh but think again. think about how funny it would be to watch this version of Titanic after having seen the original. You get to that scene, the one we all know, and as he starts falling and screaming all Muppet-y, there's a super soft foley noise of felt hitting a metal pipe that they've boosted the volume on slightly while, at the same time, dropping the volume of everything else in the scene. Everything just goes quiet for a single second as there's a soft pfft and then the chaos starts again. Ideally with everyone in the water stopping thrashing and watching the muppet fall.
Bonus points if they just shove the puppeteer off the edge too.
Occasionally I just get on trends. If I see something posted and I've got memes of it, I'll stick with the trend. Sometimes I'm just like fuck it I'ma just post the same thing a bunch which is why last week I had like 8 ratatoiulle memes in one day
Honestly, yes. We're a strange folk. That's not as common in the city though. Like almost non-existent. But outside in the smaller towns? 100%. I'd highly recommend watching the play 'Come From Away'. AppleTV+ did a taping of it. It uses Newfie music styles to talk about all the planes that landed in Gander during 9/11. The focus is on the people, not the events of 9/11. People in a new land going "What the fuck are these people saying". It's a joyous romp.
Hopefully today the Weather Network ain't lying...
And come visit! It's great here. I grew up on the northern coast of NFLD often called Iceberg Alley. We had tons of icebergs following the current down from the arctic. Humpback whales follow the bergs too so you often get to see both at the same time. I used to go kayaking with the whales whenever they'd show up. Insanely peaceful. I think the first 15 seconds were pure terror and after that it was just awe inspiring. Gentle giants is accurate.
That Mitchell and Webb Look is hysterical. You're definitely familiar with at least one of the skits. The "Are we the baddies?" one. But every skit on the show is pretty damn solid. They've got all the episodes up on YouTube too
Never played Fable 2 myself but I can do nothing but applaud the commitment at 316 days, utterly putting my bitch ass to shame. Love these posts <3 Keep 'em coming
Oh trust me, the feeling is mutual. Part of me has been glad that the US has been pulling this shit because it has put every other Canadian on the same page as me. That the United States (as an institution, not individual Americans) is an outright threat to our sovereignty, meddle in too many peoples business, take advantage of us and the rest of the world and is generally the scum of the western earth.
I was about to say relatable because it's been like 13c the past couple weeks (and snowed a week before that) but apparently today we're hitting 26c. Fuck yea.
