  • I don't wsnt to colour the participation of the survey, but I have read this and a lot of other resources and I can't say that I entirely disagree with you. If you are interester in further reading on this topic, The Big Con if a great start.

  • Hey, as much as I would love and appreciate participation - I need to keep the information centralised tor auditing and data protection.

The form does not harvest addresses or require google log in. I am a degoogler myself but this is the format that works best with the college infrastructure. Everything is just a mouse click and then manually entering an email address that wont be verified.

I would appreciate it if you could complete it.

  • I think the first part is very much related to culture eating strategy for breakfast, in that you can't turn a ship with good intentions. I had not considered the second part and it is an incredibly relevant point. I will definitely take any firther insights you have.

I replied here in the hopes that the thread being busy would encourage more people to take part.

  • It doesnt require google sign in and no data is kept other than the email you manually enter, responses and time of submission.

I am hesitant to show my feelings in order to not bias the survey but my daily driver is libre office on linux mint. Unfortunately the college uses google and the form is quite user friendly to create and have linked to the final submission.

  • I have no idea of the difference other than I feel slightly like a downgrade when I cant do simple things that Inused to be able to. The biggest difference isnlikely to be my privacy and data.

Google on tap was all I needed and they have removed and it readded it multiple times...it is currently the only gemini feature I use. And its not a gemini feature.

  • I wouldnt consider them all social media. Discord is ass, its such an odd platform it never eoccured to me that people use it for in real life friends. Youtube is basically low budget netflix for me, no need to socialise on it - probably best to avoid it tbh.

  • DDG came out as a non bubble results search engine. It is absolutely a bubble result now. If I search a short nonsensical few letters, I will get random results of doctors, agencies and companies in my small Irish town. If you turn off location it just either does nothing or sprinkles in a couple other results into the hyper focused ones. They became part of the problem they were trying to solve.

  • My work just changed from gsuite to m365 and it is atrocious. Obviously fuck google but god damn if microsoft arent just the worst at designing UI and considering actual consumer concerns when dsigning programs. Quit your job if they change to office.
