  • I believe she also worked on the original Tomb Raider series.

  • I have it on Steam but I could never get the games to work and just used an emulator instead.

  • I think part of that is due to them leaving at a cliffhanger. They did a lot of world building and set up in Defiance.

  • I'm excited but nervous about the idea of a new game/remake. The voice acting is stellar and I'm not sure how I feel about someone else taking up the mantle.

  • It looks like there is only one mod and they havenโ€™t been active recently. Best bet is to reach out to the admins and ask about becoming a mod.

  • Reaching out to the admins is going to be the best course of action. If the community has no activity or no recent activity and the mods are unresponsive there is a good chance they will work with you.

  • This is wild. I hope they get sued and lose horribly.

  • Part of it is the sunk cost fallacy. They are/were heavily invested in the community and it's hard to walk away from something that has been important to you. I don't necessarily disagree with you as I walked away from Reddit and only recently logged in to give away all my coins but I do empathize some with those who haven't yet.

  • That's okay though. It takes time and if you can get your community to really take off then maybe the other mods will come over. Every subreddit had to start somewhere and wasn't huge overnight. Honestly, Lemmy is not a replacement for Reddit and shouldn't be treated as such. It's just different.

  • Touche, my desk is a bit dusty (maybe more than a bit) and needs a solid cleaning.

  • Iโ€™m an administrator so I work with MS Office but that is about it as far tech. I did dabble a bit in high school and college with some basic computer programming but that was ages ago and things have vastly changed since then.

  • Probably but I honestly canโ€™t remember. I will look when I get home.

  • Can anyone ELI5 what the difference is between Mastodon and Firefish? Are they basically the same but a different instance similar to sh.itjust.works vs lemmy.world?

  • This absolutely terrifies me, especially since so many people deny climate change. What is it going to be like in 5-10 years?
