I think the videomaker may be failing to account for swap space. The latest Fedora releases use zram (swap that lives in memory instead of hard disk) by default, while the rest do not. Windows in particular does not take 72G and tends to be aggressive in swap allocation. The fact that he presents this data as “free space available” adds confusions while seemingly burying the simplest answer.

You know Taylor tried to silence the Jet Tracker Kid last week, maybe she’s try to silence Lemmy Memes now? Feels like last few days there has been a big uptick in “oh no lets not point to Taylor because there are other people to point to who are worse people” posts in response to memes.

I viewed it as an answer to my question “Does Op genuinely believe that someone sees a Jet Meme and think differently of Taylor?”, I only saw the post because I checked if it was PR firm.

Taylor has long had criticism for her jet use, the meme explosion is just about the media wanting to use her as hype prop while at the same time her team sued to shutdown the flight tracker kid. Posts that seem obsessed with possible damage to Taylor’s reputation sound like it is coming from a PR firm. Does Op genuinely believe that someone sees a Jet Meme and think differently of Taylor? Is Op against Taylor being the poster child for Aviation reform? I do not understand why an uninterested third party feels the need to prevent Taylor from suffering consequences of her actions merely because other heads should roll first.

I think it may be targeted though. My friend who is on the road alot and eating fast food always has 30%+ off McDonalds coupons in the app and never any Uber Eats coupons in his app. I order more delivery and always have Uber+McDonalds coupons but my app only ever shows $1 Hash Browns and $5 Chicken nuggets box which I always thought was normal price.

$7.39 for a DORITOS® CHEESY GORDITA Supreme per taco, no extras past the tomato and cream from Supreme. For less then the price of two, I can get a whole steak taco plate just about anywhere else.

I actually enjoyed Taco Bell, precisely because it was cheap, fast, comparatively healthy with vegan options, and open late. Essentially since COVID they have raised prices insanely (NY Metro soft tacos are almost $4, speciality ones reach $8+tax(so $9) per taco), they are no longer as quick despite all of them essentially being Kiosks with a food assembly line in the back now, they have taken away vegan options and some of their fresh veggies like pico de gallo / played with their menu items too much how many limited drop food items can you do a year?, and many are no longer open late. Taco Bell could have ended up like in the Demolition Man film, but COVID ruined any love I had for the brand.

It used to be, it has been a long while since Ive had or seen one, may have went away with the switch from Hebrew National dogs.

I am actually more worried this is an ad to ban people from having hardware to locally host models. If these “bad guys” do this where they have to “register” and agree to be monitored, what could they do if it wasn’t us big guys around to catch them?

It would presumably be the same it was essentially just a connection to the ISP so it is the same kinds of attack vectors browsing the wider web (arguably less since you presumably could call from random numbers and/or change ip address easily). The only one big thing I could think or is that since plain old telephone lines (POTS) were often directly interconnected (party lines/multiple phones to one line), someone could more easily pickup/tap the line to eavesdrop compared to broadband. USB modems do exist I believe 56k is the fastest you can find (iirc there was some FCC regulation limiting to 53k to prevent telco issues going faster, I believe 56-64k was the technical limit), but if you have a 2G phone that supports Circuit Switch Data you can use that and try out the magic of WML cards (specially formated html pages to run on phones) making up a WML deck / WAP site (mobile version of the site). In my opinion Biden supporters are either the meme for “illusion of choice” or just anti-Trump, there are very few actual Biden supporters (More than half of Americans have disapproved of Biden for most of his term). These DNC party leaders are so tone-deaf, it starts to feel like they either actually want Trump (Presumably so Establishment A and Establishment B can continue to act blameless for their horridness) or are so disconnected from John Q Public that they could never represent us. I always ask and am only ever downvoted as to why I should fear that Trump can run a dictatorship to strip all rights within 24 hours of inauguration but Biden cannot even act to protect established rights after having years to do so.

The lengths on top are how long the cable you are snooping on is (ie a cell phone’s cable is only gonna be a few cm, a laptop is probably at the 15cm mark), and how far away you are (Those last pics at 300cm(3m) would be under 10ft). It is definitely impressive but this is up there with stealing passwords from keyboard clicks, you usually have somewhat of an advanced threat in mind to think someone might use this against you.

In case anybody just wanted numbers, the group researching this found ~75% of twitter’s ad clicks were bots compared to about 2% for TikTok, FB, and IG during same Super Bowl game. The group also noted they had never seen over half (>50%) being bots before.

I am arguing that it is useless because it is really only benefitting the banks by paying off their worst loans. If this was about regular folks why is it limited to loans that would be losses to banks and not to say everyone?

This is a literal write-off, the plan so far is to only forgive their lowest quality loans that are either defaulted or will in next 2 years, aka another bailout due to poorly underwritten loans (Privatize the gains, socialize the losses). Every Month I hear about how either Biden waived oh so many student loans, or how is he going after whats left, never how he refuses to take executive action to get rid of the loans he promised to get rid of while campaigning. Meanwhile Biden can use executive action to fund Israel’s genocide, but not the student loans that many people say he won on. I do not feel represented by these kinds of actions and can not support them, we can fund Genocide and Bank losses but not the regular joe.
