You made me chuckle. But let's all agree that learning to use git is a ball ache and isn't very intuitive. Throw repositories into the mix and lay people just aren't gonna get it. I think using git should be taught in highschool IT classes though, most people will never use it, but it will massively help those who do need to learn it.
The biggest barrier for "most people with moderate skill" is having to acquire equipment to replace the battery. Once it becomes too much effort and cost it's better for most consumers to take it to the manufacturer or 3rd party service for replacement.
I stopped replacing batteries once I needed to heat the adhesive to remove the back and screen as I don't have that equipment to hand, and initial attempts caused damage to the screen and back cover.
Reread their post, they didn't say it was Hollywood's fault for being successful. It's Hollywood's fault for the "AMERICA NUMBER 1" sentiment shown in every movie, aka propaganda.
Well you've said it yourself, Microsoft are trying to remove that physical limitation to accessing a platform. But Microsoft knows what the market wants, people have been against exclusives for a long time and they want to remove that, I shouldn't have to spend £300 to play a game when I have equipment already capable of playing a game Infront of me.
So being scared that Xbox is going to disappear is stupid, the consoles might, but Microsoft has been transforming Xbox into a platform for years, starting with the release of windows 7 when they introduced XboxLive for windows alongside halo 2. This has been a long term goal.
They do sell good products... Kinda. But they are professional scalpers and scammers. iPhones get their performance nerfed via software after a few years to force you to upgrade. They charge Quadruple price for ram upgrades in their laptops. Now they're removing, not dropping support, but actively removing a feature that they themselves do not have to develop to stop you installing a feature on a device that you pay for.
Apple do not make superior products, apart from the iPad that's a genuinely superior product. They sell a walled garden that you have to pay continuous subscriptions to stay in. The subscription in this sense is their app store.
Except if anyone paid any attention to Microsoft over the last 5 years they'd already know that Microsoft don't want exclusives because they want to bring PC and Xbox together.
People need to stop being baited by shitty journalists. Grow a braincell or 2.
Edit: The braincell part not directed to the commenter above me.
There's no point in conversing with these people, they accuse you of bad faith arguments from WORKING in the industry and rebute with arguments from VISITING the industry.
That's fine for someone willing to read documentation, the average user would rather read a forum post, which Ubuntu has a shit load of posts about using and fixing it.
To add to that, there's so much "support" out there for Debian and by proxy Ubuntu. You can Google any error and you'll find the fix. That's what draws new people to them. Even my self even though I'm not new to the Linux ecosystem. Ubuntu makes a perfectly good and stable server operating system.
Exactly, my job is easier now with chatGPT, not because it's better at doing my job, it just drafts ideas faster than me. As far as resource usage goes I'm all for it
It can be done for alot cheaper by removing labour costs by having civil servants do the installation and by mass purchasing material cost.
Also every house wouldn't need insulating as I'd say the majority already are.
And to the people who would be like "I had to pay for mine why didn't they have to pay for theres grrrr I say no" get a life, this is about building a better Britain.
The problem people have with the death penalty isn't that they disagree a serial child rapist should be executed. It's that people get falsely sentenced. It happens, it always has happened, it always will happen.
Obviously IANAL but I suppose this arguement can be used in UK courts citing the European court
